Steaming clothes

Watching some commercial about steaming clothes, it's a cleaner X5mop. Do you steam your clothes? H20X5.

When I travel I steam out wrinkles in the shower.

Not routinely but I have a handheld steamer that I sometimes use to remove wrinkles or freshen up a garment.

Yes. I avoid ironing and will use my clothes steamer (it is not a mop) to remove wrinkles that do not hang out after the wash. There are some wrinkles and creases that are very stubborn and will occasionally need an iron.

I also use my steamer to smooth out frizzies in some of the wigs that I wear. It's a very handy device.

I've never owned a steamer and I don't own an iron. My clothes are never wrinkled. But I don't wear all cotton tops so that helps.

Don't own an iron or a steamer. If by some odd chance something is wrinkled it goes in the shower. I make sure not to buy anything that wrinkles.

When I worked in retail we always steamed the clothing before we put the clothing out "on the rack". The items really looked better because the items were folded for shipping.

Just for presentation purposes it was well worth it. It made the little girl dresses or the adult shirts look so nice.

I had always ironed clothes but after using the steamer at work, I bought a little hand held steamer. It seems the only time I use it now is on dress shirts. And we don't dress up as much as we used to.

Yes I steam and I iron. I have a steamer that is on a stand. I've had it for years! Same for my iron.

I bought a small handheld steamer to use on some drapes years ago but never use it. I have to starch DH's uniform shirt and put a crease in his uniform pants and a steamer won't do that, so I have to pull out the iron on a weekly basis anyway and then I'll just iron anything else that needs it, while I'm at it.

Neither iron nor steam clothes. Haven't done so for years and years. Won't buy anything that requires it.

DH has a steam iron and stopped taking his long sleeve white shirts to the cleaners. He likes how he starches them better than the cleaners. ( Since office attire has changed drastically in the last few years, he doesn't need to do this chore very often. He retired two years ago. )

At this age, we don't need to do things that don't need doing !!!

I'm one of those people who hate to iron. I always did it though but didn't own too many clothes that needed it. I finally broke down and purchased a small steamer a few years ago. I am amazed how well it works and quick and simple it is. I hardly ever have to pull out the old iron anymore!

I had a steamer several years ago. Found it took longer to take out wrinkles than using my steam iron. I'm one of those who actually likes to iron especially in the winter--LOL!!!

I have both but use my steam iron the most. I enjoy ironing and find it relaxing.

I do on a Sunday morning while listening to my albums (vinyls). Takes me back.

I iron more in summer than fall or winter. I like my tops to look nice and crisp.

Steaming is my go-to. I love my steamer. Ironing is a last resort, or for my winter weight denim shirts.

But if I'm really in a hurry, I have a steaming hack:

I have a continuous mist water bottle that I use to mist my hair before I apply hair products. The water comes out in a light mist instead of a spray or stream. So for my lightweight fabrics, I'll mist the item, and then immediately use a hair dryer over it. Gets wrinkles out in a flash!

I used to iron A LOT...........it became less and less as I got older. My mother taught me to iron and she was left handed. So I iron left handed! I tried to do it with my dominant right hand and it felt really off.

yes, and every person who has lived with me past or present has their own personal steamer.....joy mangano. they are used often. my son even steams his boxers. LOL

I don't own a clothes steamer and don't mind ironing. I've hung clothes in the shower but that didn't do anything. I also own a portable Bissel steam cleaming machine. I've plugged it in and tried it a couple of times on clothing but they didn't look as crisp as using an iron. If it did a good job, I had planned to purchase an actual clothes steamer. I'll continue to use my iron.

I have a small hand held steamer and a professional steamer that has a tank and wand.

I very seldom use either. They are great to have when hanging curtains or drapes. Occasionally, I might steam a winter wool coat or a dressy outfit.

I have a steam iron too. I don't use that too often either. About 95% of my clothing is 100% cotton, the other 5% is wool or linen.

Contrary to what people think, cotton does not wrinkle if washed, smoothed and hung to dry.
