As a longtime QVC shopper, I always refer to the garment measurements on each piece of clothing before ordering to find a proper fit. In the past 8 months or so , I have been returning items because of incorrect measurement information on the QVC website. This has never been an issue before and I rarely returned anything.

I hope the manufacturers get their act together and correct the sizing problem. Accurate information is needed to avoid costly returns.I also wonder if the designers are aware that this is happening as it will surely effect their sales volume.

Also, the hosts and presenters must describe the fabric as well as percentages of cotton, poly, etc. The seasoned hosts like Jane Brown continue to do this well.If I am purchasing a garment , this is what I am interested in learning not information on their personal lives.

And I agree that the neck lines on the larger sizes are too wide and too low as another reviewer mentioned and not bra strap friendly.

It is disappointing to see what was a reliable source of quality items go downhill.

I buy a lot of clothing on QVC and check the measurements on each piece. I can't even remember the last time I had to return something due to fit. I find they are amazingly accurate.

I agree that the hosts assume because they can see and feel the fabric, we can too. I've been very surprised on occasion to receive a silky top when I expected a knit tee sort of fabric. To say it's poly is not enough. Polyester can be any texture or "hand".

I also agree that many necklines are too wide. I have one V-neck top that actually falls off one shoulder. No problem with D&C but with some other lines, all bets are off. You must choose very carefully.

Virtually every of my clothing purchases have been returned within the last few months. Either the fabric or the sizing was the culprit.

I agree you do have to check mesurements on each piece and choose carefully. Lately I have had to exchange some tops that should have been right on. Too big on and some others I think no way would I take that small of a size even though measurements say I should.

I read reviews, check out material and who the designer is. I do pretty good but more than just clip and go too.

One reason I shop more locally now. Try on helps.

I'm waiting on an exchange now and been a long time already. Still have my size available but I could have ordered and gotten much sooner.

I do have to say certain items you can't beat the Q on.

I've never used garment measurements. I'm not a seamstress so I wouldn't know where to begin. I use body measurements every time I order clothes and I take my own body measurements every few weeks. And I'm honest with myself. I know my body. Like, I have narrow shoulders so would never buy something with boat neckline. I have full thighs and a booty so I take that into account. When in doubt, I just don't buy the item. I'm not part of the "size up" mentalit. Something fits or it doesn't. I shop a lot but I rarely return any thing, I don't have a lot of fit problems. It's why I love this way of shopping. I also don't mind getting something altered if I have to but that's rare. I have an Anthony set that I planned to wear today but top is too long. It wouldn't work tucked in. I'll have the tailor at my dry cleaners shorten it.

The size charts work well for me. My hips & waist fall into 2 size groups so I have to order by waist. I have a smaller bust but broad shoulders so order a large in tops except for side stitch brand. I know what size I wear in brands now.

I ordered one of Susan's 'paradise pink' tops this morning

and she's got the bust size of a 'large' at 42.5. That's not gonna cut it for me, so , I know when I ordered the XL I will have to take it in to have it seamed up on the sides adds another 10 bucks to it.

Denim and Co. is the only place that has the bust and hip about the same. Susan is way off. I think the flater chested designer the smaller the bust size will be in their

measurements.

I happen to think it is beneficial to know the models height to see how long the garment is on them. If a sweater or tunic appears long on someone 5'9'', it would probably be too long on someone like me at 5'4". To see or hear the length given in inches doesn't help me as much as seeing it on the models

It is frustrating when the measurements don't match the item you receive. I'm 5'1", have broad shoulders, smallish bust, smallish waist, larger hips and long legs. My best friend is my measuring tape and if I want to buy something I get a similar item I have and measure it and compare it to the garment measurements given. I don't like tight clothing, I like things to skim, not stick to my body, especially in the hip area. So, when I find something that fits, I tend to buy it in every color. I'm waiting on a Kim Gravel gauze dress and hope it fits. I have one from Belk by Wonderly that fits perfectly and I compared the measurements. I just hope they are accurate, because I ordered a second before I got the first and would have ordered a third yesterday, but I was afraid the measurements would be off..

I always look at the chart....for tops, I go by the bust measurement.

I ordered 3 WWC tops by the chart...and they were ginormous!

The chart may stipulate what the sizes are supposed to be, but that doesn't mean they come outta the factory at those measurements.

They are producing thousands of these items. If they are bulk cutting, not all pieces in the pile will be the same exact size they are supposed to be.

No biggie, I just even exchanged very easily.

This wasn't the only time, prev. SG items also did not match the chart at all.

I agree with the previous poster, height does matter to me! I like my tops to be a longer length. If the model is super tall....I can tell by where it hits on her how it will hit on short old me.

I always use the garment measurements because they are more accurate than the regular size charts. I am large busted so that is my major issue. However, even the garment measurements don't help that much because whether I will need a large or an xl depends a lot on the cut of the top or dress. Even from the same brands, with the same bust measurements, there are big differences.

I quit ordering from QVC because I ended up returning so many things due to inaccurate garment measurements. Today by accident I came across your "Aratta" brand which was VERY expensive, VERY fashionable, and VERY interesting. But when I looked for "garment measurements", there were none. There was a photo at the end of the still shots which showed "body measurements" but who goes by that? My experience with QVC was all that, just annoying.
