SLUB KNIT

Slub knit pieces from all vendors on the Q do not appeal to me. IMHO they also look cheap. But the price points don't reflect that. Hosts talk about fast fashions, not being good investments. Slub knit looks exactly what I consider fast fashions looks.

I purchased two of Kim Gravel's slub knit tee shirt dresses this season. I absolutely love them, as they are cool, comfortable and still looked great at the end of the day. They also laundered beautifully. Both Chicos and Talbots are showing many slub knit items but i'm sure not all quality is equal.

I'm not a huge fan of the material either though they have said it is more expensive to make it. One time I heard Logo Lori say that making a thinner fabric costs more than a thicker fabric?? Whatever the reasoning, it performs poorly IMO and at times is not flattering.

Have 3 long cardigans in this fabric and love the comfort. Saw some 3/4 sleeved ones at Costco for an incredible price. Next day, they were all gone. However, reviews on Costco.com say they develop holes by the second or third wash. So I guess they are what my spouse calls 'disposable fashion'.

I LOVE Land's End slub knit tops! They are wonderful and I sleep in them. On sale they are a superb value in today's world.

They are thin and cool, good enough to wear for sleep or just at home, and wash well on cold for me.

I also am one who likes slub knit. It's airy and cool. It is cotton but it's just the texture that makes it look that way. Do you feel cottong is cheap also?

I too love slub knit. When it first came out in the 70's and I bought my first shirt made of slub knit, I wore it until it fell apart. Over the years finding slub knit became almost impossible. I am happy its back!

I just bought a long sleeve slub knit top (Kirkland brand) at Costco for $4. It was on a table with other items that were marked down. The Costco I go to does this quite often where there are only a few left of a particular item. I would have bought more but there was only one, which happened to be my size.

Do you have any of the slub knit you are complaining about?

Can you find something else you like?

I don't know what slub knit QVC sells other than Logo, and the Logo slub is just a finish on the fabric. The fabric is not thin, not sheer, not clingy. I love the beautiful colors in Logo slub.

There are many things QVC offers that I don't like. I just don't buy them.

I haven't had any issues with the fabric.

If you get holes ... it's probably because it was washed with something with zippers or hooks that snag.

With many fabrics - you have to be aware of what other clothes are in the washing machine.

I don't care for it either. It looks like it's been laundered and dried repeatedly. I don't care for the feel of it either, it's not the same soft, smooth feel as Cotton. It doesn't hang the scene either. Good for those who like it.

I don't like it because it's a very thin, summer weight fabric. It doesn't work for me. I don't think it's a cheap.

I love a good slub knit and have several by Belle line. Recently ordered this set of 2 tanks in the blue/green combo. They fit perfectly and wash up so nice. They are not thin, cheap or see thru. This fabric is perfect for hot summer time. A601283

I have one of Kim's slub summer tops and it is getting tons of wear! I love slub too, so super lightweight and breezy, not clingy- I want more but waiting on sales, tee-hee! 🤓

I really like everything I've gotten from Candace Bure'; however, I recently bought two of her slub knit tees and returned them immediately. They were see through. I won't say they were "cheaply" made, but I don't know why anyone would want them.
