I for one am confused about how to read the charts that show sizes. I much prefer when the size chart is shown during a presentation and simply tells the bust, waist and hip measurement to go by. I am looking at a joan rivers jean that come S,M,L,etc. but not sure what size to order. I typically wear M in Isaac and Denim CO. and Belle and Felt. How does JR clothing fit? Thanks!!

Otherwise, purchase based on garment measurements.

you can use the Click here chart like this

take a top or pair of pants that fit you well

and measure the chest at the underarm x2 or pants and measure the rise/inseam etc

this will tell you how the garment will fit you. I bought 2 pairs of DC shorts from ebay and used this and they fit perfectly

I always use the specific garment measurements, as @cjm61 suggests. I have worn the same medium size forever all across the board but I have a little journal that shows the perfect measurements for me based on past purchases. The sizing on QVC isn't as dependable as it once was, I'm guessing because they outsource to so many other countries now. I know physically writing down things is outdated but it works for me and I've ordered up or down based on my notes. If reviews says to size up or size down, this little journal works very well for me.

They rarely show size charts on the screen. They stopped that years ago. Don't assume anything when it comes to sizing. It's easy. Take your bust, waist and hip measurements and be honest with yourself. Go to the item you want and click on "size chart". Look for your measurements. Do it 2 or 3 times and you'll get comfortable with it. It's likely that if you wear a M in other QVC brands, a M will fit but I never take chances like that

The few times I have used the size charts, I ended up with too large clothing. I use the actual garment measurement chart although that doesn't always work either. I really hate when they say buy your usual QVC size. What is that? What if you're a new customer? Also, the NYDJ thing about sizing down from your regular B&M size. I don't have one B&M size. I always take 2 or 3 sizes in the dressing room. Maybe if it's a brand I wear a lot of I can correctly choose my size, but it varies widely by brand.

I don't buy as much Q fashion as I used to, but I've always used the garment measurements for items I'm thinking about buying. I look at the chest measurement if I'm buying a top or jacket and the low hip measurement if I'm buying pants. Works most of the time. It's one of the things that IMO makes Q clothing shopping better than online retailers who only post body measurements. I also check reviews, the fabric, and whether the garment is manufactured to be a close fit or loose fit.

I still prefer to shop in person and try things on for the best results, but brick and mortar places aren't offering as many sizes, styles, & colors in store as they used too, so I do my best when shopping online.
