That was my first thought. Red is definitely not Emily's color-it appears too harsh with her coloring. While I know we have a few "color" experts among us who might disagree, many years ago I learned that red is, indeed, the most difficult color to wear while turquoise is the universal color.

That being said, I adore Emily! Oh and will you look at John! I don't think I have ever seen such a handsome picture of him.

As long as I am here one more little critique. To my eye, Emily's necklace and dress are giving conflicting vibes.

Emily Blunt is what happens when you hire the wrong stylist. It's a disaster from the hair to that awful dress. Her husband nailed it! He loos amazing.

That was my first thought; she looks better with dark hair.

However, you never know when someone is working on a movie and may have their hair a certain way for the the character they are playing.

Emily is a winter; the warm colored hair isn't her best color at all. She looks tired, not bright.

The dress needs to be more blue based red, not coral-red.

Yet, there are those that say color theory is passe'. Yeah!

I'm not a flower person and if those were removed, the dress would be perfection for me. I think she looks great in the dress but agree the hair style and hair color do nothing for her.

think she looks lovely. I think the color looks great on her and I don't think the hair looks horrible ... it's natural and not overdone. On my screen the red looks like a vibrant red (lipstick red). I don't see orange or blue undertones ... just a vibrant red ... and I like it.

She looks ok, but I'm not loving her hair or dress The dress fits her torso well, but IMO it's a bit too long, and the material seems a bit stiff, especially at the bottom.

I admit I am one who has debunked the concept of adhering to color analysis and here is why:

You categorized Emily as a Winter, yet there are many many online sites that state she is a Summer. If there is such discrepancy in accurately typing someone the concept then becomes meaningless to me.

@Lilysmom1 - Maybe the color of the dress would look better if she had her natural brown color back. I like her much better as a brunette.

I was reading an old article about Emily and what season she was and the author thought Emily looked 'better' as a brunette than as a blonde and I have to agree with that assessment. The author showed how some natural brunettes looked good as blondes and other brunettes looked better staying brunette. Interesting article for someone like me who doesn't really get the whole color/season thing.

I can see how some colors flatter and some colors detract...but what that has to do with light summer, true summer, yadda yadda...I don't follow.
