just recieved piece love bla bla heart sweater in red.with tx and shipping 72.00(I don't even pay that in a electric bill) wore it today,and as the day went by the sweater grew and pilled something awful.yep,going back tomorrow.ps,as far as looks,really darling

@rms1954 I've had a number of things pill in one wearing (or washing)--from QVC and other places.

I am really careful to check fabric content as I find pilling to be a real problem. Acrylic is one of the worst. Sometimes poly span too.

I refuse to buy any sweater made of acrylic as I have had too many problems with that fabric in the past.

I am not sure what fabric this particular sweater is made from though.

Bummer @Luvsmyfam ! I'm thinking you may be talking about a Candace sweater. Sorry that happened to you. Perhaps you should send it back defective so you won't get charged for shipping. That's too bad since you said the sweater was really darling.

I got a CuddlDuds sweater last year, acrylic/poly/span blend. Washed it when first received and after the first wearing, it started pilling pretty badly. After the season was over, it was covered in pills. I wear it around the house now so I don't have to put the heat on too high. I don't remember how much I paid for it, surely not $72 or anywhere near that. I'm thinking to shy away from acrylic blends now; I always thought it was the poly that causes pills but now am rethinking. Probably should have sent it back and I definitely would have had I spent that much on it.

I won't pay that for a sweater no matter how cute anymore....just too expensive for my budget when I have to mortgage the house to buy eggs!

If it was WAY reduced, or a LTS, maybe...

It has REALLY good reviews, so maybe others didn't have an issue.

No other complaints about piling.

@4kitties Add me to the "I avoid acrylics" list. I wear lots of old clothes - but the vast majority of them are better cotton than I care to pay for nowadays and none have much if any acrylic in them.

I would definitely send it back! I had a Denim & Co. sweater made of acrylic that pilled after the first time I wore it.
