Perhaps the size the plus size model was wearing was the best size offered for her? I have seen where a larger model had on jean type pants, I forget the brand, and the pants looked skin tight on her legs but when she lifted her shirt to show the waist area you could see the waist was a little too big. So, a larger size would be too large in the waist.

Again, I believe the models measurements should be given whether they are a plus size or an xxs petite. For me personally, that is the most helpful along with checking out the actual garment measurements. The only time it helps what the model is wearing is when her height is given then I know how long an item is. I am short and if it goes to the models knees its an easy pass as I do not like dresses that long.

Why do they never put the appropriate size on the plus size models? Their clothes are always too small and not flattering at all. They also make it hard to judge how the sizes may fit customers viewing the show.

There is no way QVC could have every size of every garment they're showing on set. They order the sizes they think will work most of the time.

Models, plus size or not are all built differently and they are different sizes. QVC might have a size 1x to be modeled on set. What happens if a model is busty and would look better in 2x? Where are they going to get that size? Should they send the model home and request a smaller busted one?

Well, @Carmie I don't think they should be sent home. However, they should know the models measurements ahead of the show and make sure they have the size that would best fit. If I was a vendor I would want the item to be presented in the best way possible. If a model does not look good in the size available, I believe it would be in the best interest of both QVC and the vendor that the model does not come out to show the garment.

I have visited the studio in the past, the items they will present are known well in advance. I'm just pointing out that if I was the owner of one of these businesses I definitely would want a model that looks "good" in my creations.

I think part of the issue is that different styles and/fabrics are cut differently & where they're made also affects the size. QVC has brainwashed viewers into this "regular QVC size"/thing so models & hosts wear things that may be their correct size in one garment but not another. Customer confidence would shrink even more if they kept changing sizes.

I think you are just seeing what you want to see. Occasionally, the hosts and ALL the models would look better if they went up a size.

.

Many of us have complained that clothes don't fit us as we expect. Maybe the same thing happens with the models.

I think all the hosts/models (plus size or not) always wear a size too small for them. They're always tugging on the garment to get it to fall where it should. Like it's a contest to see who can squeeze into the XXS.
