Hello fashion friends...happy New Year!

My fashion goal this year is low-buy thrift only...we'll see...all bets are on haha.

I started posting WIW on PBs in December '21 and into '22, but didn't figure out how to copy/post onto the Q boards until Spring '22, so my PB fashion friends may recognize almost everything I'll post for the next few months because I posted them all last winter and only added a few winter items this season.

It's the oddest feeling to know that I have enough winter items that I love and that I'm not even interested in shopping for the winter season. It only took me five years haha, but it's a complete turn around from my pre-Purge habits.

My last WIW a few weeks ago included this BB Dakota by Steve Madden jacket...open over a sweater and a pair of jeans. This is another way I wear it. This would work nicely for any winter occasion where I need to "dress up."

*BBDakota jacket. *LRL wool blend cuffed trousers. *Thrifted Banana Republic black/white stripe long sleeved tee. *Blondo suede ankle boots. *Thrifted woven leather belt.

The last time I posted this on PBs, it had high side slits, which I don't like because they tend to make a top too wide, which accentuates BottiBelli, so I sewed them closed. This is the only tie-dye I own.

*Cinq a sept cashmere t-neck. *Thrifted Levi's. *Blondo suede ankle boots.

*Cinq a sept sweater. *One of the fleece ponchos I made. *AG Harper indigo (last purchase of '22 from Ebay...my first Ebay purchase). *Blondo ankle boots.

The jacket is lovely and I like the tie-dye top, nice color! The poncho looks great on you!!! In fact you wear all fashions well! Happy New Year to you and your fashion posts delightful!

I like all of your outfits...but especially the jacket.

I'm also not a fan of side slits on tops and either tack them closed, take to a tailor if there's too much fabric or pass on buying.

That first outfit is probably my favorite. You look so sharp in it. Also love that poncho and your necklace in that third picture.

@MacDuFF : don't rule out shopping for fashion at retail if end of season prices are similar to those at thrift.

I popped into Marshall's for a minute this morning and picked up 2- 100% Lyocell pieces: a shirt ($16.00) and a pair of joggers ($12.00) Joggers work for me and my petite (short) legs. To sweeten the deal further, I had the remnants of a TJX gift card, which brought my total purchase to under $20.00. Both pieces were on final markdowns (yellow tags) and are the perfect weight for spring wear.

I have by no means abandoned thrift shopping. I bought a darling charm bracelet last week for a ridiculous $5.00 and immediately consigned it at my fave thrift boutique. It sold the next day for the list price of $49.00, of which I received half.

For my closet I picked up Ellen Tracy black ponte jeggings and Ann Taylor black ponte pants, Jones NY cream elbow sleeve fine gauge sweater, Andrew Marc black full length poly coat (marked down to $28.00) with a narrow band of mink trim around the collar, cuffs, placket & hem and I am picking up another down filled coat with fur trim on the hood tomorrow.

Also scored a faux turquoise Y necklace and matching earrings for $6.00. I don't often find nice jewelry at thrift, but over the past several months my luck has changed for the better.

January is prime time for thrift shopping with everyone back to decluttering.

Yeah, that jacket has been so versatile. Light grey is one of my neutral colors, so it goes with a lot. It's warm enough...mid-weight...but definitely not for the coldest temps. It's a great winter topper!

I think the belt style and length was the key to making the outfit work (I'm not a fan of belts). It's a woven belt, so no pre-stamped holes. I can adjust to the perfect place. I like that it's not a wide obi-belt type belt...this is about as wide as I'll wear a belt. And I love that it's long enough to do that kool loop-de-loop thang. $1 leather belt...yesss!
