I prefer mostly cotton in jeans,if i am looking for them,not all the stretch fabrics .

Most every brand of jeans (and I have many) put some stretch in them these days. However, just a little added to give ease to the cotton denim....I'm not talking jeans like Quacker's "dream jean" which are really a denim substitute.

But maybe try brands like Lands End? I never shop there but others here do...they strike me as a brand that might be more traditional denim.

If you go to the "Levi's" website you CAN find all cotton jeans.

("LLBean" and "Lands End" sometimes have a couple all cotton)

I just do not like all the amount of poly in jeans.Not a fan of poly in clothes.

I absolutely HATE faded jeans.

I like a bit of poly. It helps prevent fading. A bit of rayon for smooth texture is also okay.

I want a small amount of spandex - about 1% or 2%.

I don't mind a bit of poly in the black jeans I have from Talbots. It must be the poly that keeps those jeans so black, wash after wash.

For the most part, I do prefer jeans with 1-2% stretch. Recently purchased a couple pair of Levis w little stretch and I love them. Will buy that style again.

I agree with @ALRATIBA . I steer away from 100% cotton. I find they fade, are rough and uncomfortable. The rayon gives a little softness, poly for color saturation and of course, gotta have a little stretch.

Last Christmas my son-in-law asked for jeans. I bought him his first pair of jeans with spandex. He loved them so much he thanked me many times and he actually didn't know why he liked them so much. I told him they had a little give due to the spandex and he said he will only buy jeans with this fabric content from now on.

It may or not impact the availability of all cotton garments in the coming year or so, but one of the largest cotton producing regions in the US did not have a crop this year. Almost all of plants were shredded in the field. Estimates are the crop was only 10% of the normal production due to the extreme drought.

Nearly all brands, even very expensive brands that cost hundreds have some stretch. It let's the jeans fit and feel more comfortable. 1% to 2% works best for me.

I have big dogs and am always working with them or running them. I need a tough jean with pockets that can be used....not just a decoration. I get my jeans from Duluth Trading Company. I buy the boot cut style. They have a touch of stretch but not too much. They last a long time with little fading or sagging! I love them and they look nice with a nice sweater or a shirt for general out and about.

@cjm61 Men, geniuses that they are, seem to be just discovering Spandex in pants. I even heard a late-night host mention it like it was a devine revelation. Imagine, pants with some "give"! I bet this will be the next big thing in the garment manufacturing industry.

I wouldn't want to go back to wearing 100% cotton jeans just like I wouldn't want to go back to wearing a girdle. Uncomfortable.

I like my jeans to be mostly cotton, with at most, two percent spandex. I don't like jeans with all those different fabrications in them, too stretchy.

@ID2 I prefer dark also. On my job we can wear jeans to meetings as long as they are dark, not distressed. Very comfy and as you said slimming!

@Desert Lily - Also the denim jackets from many many years ago were stiff and uncomfortable. I like present day jeans and denim jackets.
