Host Sizing

Something that drives me crazy, hosts saying they wear extra small and wearing the item being sold that clearly does not fit. it looks like they are wearing their child's top. It honestly looks terrible and I don't understand it. Jen and Shawn are the worst wearing clearly too small tops. Love Alberti by the way, excellent host! Don't get me started on Jane, ugh exhaustig to watch and listen to. Just my opinion.

Since some of them seem sensitive about telling their actual size, let the models wear the clothes and put them in the correct size. Then the clothing will be shown to its best advantage, and the customer will not have to look at jackets that couldn't close with the jaws of life and pants that leave nothing to imagination. It's not rocket science or too much to ask.

@QVCkitty1 I totally agree, but it seems the stylists can't put the models in the proper size either. Like you said, they have to be in the correct size.

When a pair of jeans has horizontal lines up and down the leg, it's not the right size and makes the garment look bad. Which makes me not want to buy.

Thank goodness for the online garment specifications.

I rarely watch shophq but was channel surfing and stopped to watch a presentation on Christopher & Banks. Kendy was hosting and she actually asked the OAP and the models if they could button the jackets they were wearing. The 1x model admitted that she could not. Kendy then recommended that customers size up if that was important to them. I was impressed that she took the time to mention that.

It's an ego thing with some of them. I think being surrounded by the tall thin models and other hosts who really are xs or xxs just gets in their heads and they can't or won't publicly say "I'm wearing a medium". They go with smalls even if it doesn't look good to the customers. Sometimes I find it amusing but it really doesn't bother me.

Kendy is an experienced host who has been doing the job for a couple of decades. She knows what the customer wants and needs. She also knows thst returns reflect badly on her shopping channel. Their main fashion hosts are all tiny, legitimate xs and xxs but I have heard them suggest that customers size up in certain things. They'll ask the models if they are comfortable in something.

Speaking of sizes, I watched the Denim & Co. show last night and the skin tight jeans that the stylist stuffed the model into was just plain frightful.

How about sizing the models right.Model Jackie says large,looks terrible when ever she models.Put they in the correct size also

I actually think it's a selling gimmick. The idea is everyone can wear anything - regardless of how it fits. If you want to wear a size Small - even if you are a Large, well just go right ahead. You will look just as fabulous as you are repeatedly told the hosts - and sometimes even the models do.
