topic Do you follow the " One in - One out" rule when making a new purchase? in Fashion

When you purchase something like a piece of clothing or an accessory, do you immediately pick something from your closet to eliminate (throw away, give away, sell)? I must confess that I don't do this as often as I should and end up with a big task of cleaning out closets and drawers once a year. If someone has an easy way to keep up with this, I would like to know what it is, thanks.
