WIW: Lunch at the Ritz (w/e 8/27/22)...

Hello fashionistas!

If you ran into me at the grocery store, the Rack, the local thrift, or running errands around town, chances are I'd be wearing something similar to these. A relaxed fit cotton or linen collared blouse with sleeves rolled/cuffed and jeans is pretty much my "signature" summer uniform.

I'm almost finished taking pics of all my summer pieces (my goal) and am pretty well pleased with my summer wardrobe. Tried not to buy another white blouse, but caved twice...stopped buying summer items mid-July, but caved last week (pink blouse in #3). I've been wearing my gold jewelry, though. And I've tried to more creatively mix shoes and bags...with which I had fun and am gaining confidence.

I started with about 45 summer pieces, but it's down to about 40 (some also work well for transition). More than enough different outfits can be put together for about 5 to 6 months wear. [insert MacDuff doing the happy dance].

#1 Marathon shopping day (Chico's, Banana Republic, and Marshall's...exhausting!)

*Chico's no-iron linen pineapple blouse
*Thrifted Levi's
*Thrifted yellow wood (engineered?) NWT bangle (purchased to wear with gold jewelry haha)
*Gold metallic B. Mak bag
*Yellow Dr. Scholl's sandals

These are soooo old that I don't remember where or when I bought them...guaranteed I didn't pay $265. They're called "Lunch at the Ritz," which is engraved on the back (in cursive ***GASP***). Children are especially attracted to them haha. They're beautiful and whimsical, and I love them...

These are Lunch at the Ritz available on Etsy for $500...so many fabulous earrings, pendants and bracelets to look at on Etsy (most not this high priced)

I like my colors better...on Etsy for $265...

#2 Lunch with gf one day, errands the next

*Chico's purple/yellow/white striped no-iron linen blouse with gold metallic thread
*AG "Isabelle" crops
*Sak straw bag
*Bueno "Tulla" sandal (caramel color)
*Old gold jewelry

#3 Dinner/date night and thrifting the next day...

*Chico's no-iron hot pink blouse. For those who scoff at the idea of no-iron linen, I wore this to a casual, outdoor diner one day, and thrifting the next. The (new) thrift store I went to didn't have a dressing room, so I tried on a bunch of jackets, vests, blouses, and sweaters over this blouse. This pic was taken when I got home...no ironing, steaming, or touch-ups. I'm guesstimating it had been worn a total of about 8-9 hrs when this pic was taken.

*Kut from the Kloth "Catherine" boyfriend jeans (I cropped them to my preferred summer length).
*Thrifted quilted Vera Bradley bag with LDO's fish as a bag charm
*Havaiannas flip-flops
*Thrifted SS cross with toggle chain

@MacDuFF I'm not really an accessories person but I LOVE #1, the darling pineapple shirt and fabulous earrings. All of it is just my style, thanks for sharing.

You always look comfortable and happy in your many outfits!!!! I love blouses and the pineapple design blouse is so lovely!!!! I enjoy solid color blouses but am always a fan of prints filled with color!

Your jewelry so beautiful, some remind me of Kirk's Folly jewelry sold on the Q. The pieces shown in the photos are stunning and so detailed, love them!!!!

"Lunch at the Ritz 2Go" jewelry was sold on QVC quite a few years ago. Maybe 14 or 15 years ago? Something like that. It was nowhere near those prices you listed. I don't remember it lasting all that long.

I just saw a LatR pendant on eBay that was orignally sold by QVC. Asking price $20.30. It was dated 2008.

(Check out RitzyCoutureJewelryDOTcom. S/he mentions QVC on the homepage.)

@MacDuFF I have a shirt very similar to your pineapple shirt that I got from HSN 3-4 years ago from the very nice line called Lemon Way, now discontinued. Instead of.pineaplle, mine has little hot air balloons.

There used to be some sold on the Q years ago. I always wanted to get some but the reviews were not good. They are, however, beautiful and now I wish I had gotten them. Too long in the tooth now to be buying exciting jewelry pieces. Gotta stick with my pearls and hoops.

Gosh I just posted a similar post before I saw yours. I did not know it was so expensive. It was not when it was sold on the Q. However, it may be that it is now vintage or collectors and the prices have increased. Could it be?

This bracelet was on the Q years ago. At the time I was doing CAT rescue and considered getting it but the reviews were not very good so I didn't. I distinctly remember this one but it was not that much.

Looking good --- as always! I especially love the blouse with pineapples! I love tops like this! I was trying to find a long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve cute top with lemons, but I haven't found one. Awesome accessories and you always look great!

@MacDuFF :another vote for outfit #3. Pink no iron linen shirt & pink bag, and I love your choice of silver jewelry items and that LDO fish with the pinks.

You look great in collared shirts. I do not.

My thrifted finds this week include:

GAP 100% cotton pink/multi cable stitch mock neck pullover sweater

Eileen Fisher rich red long sleeve stretch tee

Chico's blue jeggings

Stretch denim jean style jacket with bold white topstiching. Perfect petite fit.

accessories: lightly worn Asics sneakers, goldtone necklace with goldtone pendant set with round "blue topaz" stone and antiqued silvertone music charm bracelet. My niece might get this one as I already have one that is very dear to me.

Unusual for me to find jewelry items at thrift.

@Jk9 The beautiful blouses you asked about on the Fashion Favorites thread are no longer available as far as I could tell.

The pineapple shirt is one of my favorite blouses, but I must say...I want a hot air balloon blouse @Kachina624!
