I check Chicos all the time for sales. Was disappointed to see the 50% off sale has nothing different than what has been on sale for several weeks. I am anxious to see some new things I can wear into fall....lightweight but fall colors...and no linen.

Chico's is a store that makes you think you are getting a great deal. About a month ago I ordered a top on sale for around $50. ($47 and change for Rewards members) They claimed the original price was over $150. Exactly one week after I ordered it, the price was reduced to $25. I was given a price adjustment. Today the item is on the semi-annual sale for $50.

Talbots is famous for similar sale pricing. There are items on their website that I purchased 2 summers ago.

And this is also true of QVC, HSN. I always monitor pricing after I make a purchase to secure any credits during the 30 day period.

I have scored sone good buys with clearance events and not purchasing much of any fashions at 'full price'

@Blondie59 - White House Black Market also has a mid year clearance event right now.

Many apparel retailers are still trying to sell items that were stuck on ships. I'm selectively shopping and finding some good buys on items from my wishlist as well 'new' items that are nicely discounted

@Chi-town girl Not often do I purchase dresses online. But I had Covid (fine now) I live in a tropic hot humid climate. I have looked for sundresses that were not made well & not see thru. Finally I saw 570326870 Tiered 3/4th Sleeve Sundress Which is 100% cotton (looks like a Gauze). I got the pink & blue for 39%off 79.00 & love the loose fit (not overly loose like a tent) for this 95 & up weather. They have pocket too & well worth the cost. The reviews were good & a few said the top of the dress ran small in the bustline so I sized up.

I found quite a few things to order from Chico's. I have never purchased anything from Chico's before (long boring story), so I have zero idea on their sizing or quality, but decided to take a chance and pick up a few items. Casual items in basic solid colors. Crossing fingers they work out. Shipping looks slow...like Talbot's or the Q...so won't know for awhile if they are keepers.

I look forward to Chico's July sales along with Land's End. They both carry excellent Tees and tanks that wear very well and hold their color. I just ordered 5 Chico's tanks to replace the cheap ones I bought locally that didn't last the season and have tummy holes. I think some companies are making tops in too light weight and thin fabrics. Chico's is the only fun - fashion jewelry I buy. I love their multi colored bead jewelry. Also they have had nice scarves over the years.

Just a follow up on my order. 2 of the 5 items delivered to me 2 days after my order was placed. Came from a local area store. The remaining 3 items delivered yesterday...4 days earlier than they indicated. I guessed right on fit for all but the pants...they are a bit big, but I will keep and take in the waist after I wash them. The pima tanks I purchased are a terrific quality and I am very pleased with these items. I will be buying more from Chicos.

I think most stores do the same type of pricing. I am ready for Chicos to bring in some fall or transition things. They have had the same summer stuff for months. We I ordered a pair of travelers petite's slim pants today since they are only online and were discounted and only had a couple of pair left. I can wear them for years.
