@Chi-town girl - Many years ago, I purchased an adorable, very well made, navy blue NASA jacket for my son with patches on it. That Air and Space Museum is quite a gem- fascinating displays with real space capsules and aircraft, educational videos and shows to see, and a great gift shop that is perfect for anyone interested in space and astronomy.

@Chi-town girl, Going 'way back to my first of many visits to the Smithsonian museums, I used to make a point of going to the various shops and buying unique and unexpected gifts to put away for Christmas or birthdays.

Years ago, once they had an email subscription I signed up for those since I started shopping their website. They can be expensive, including the shipping and handling, but the quality has always been top-notch and now and then they have very good sales and occasionally free shipping.

My husband has an A2 flight jacket that is about 35 years old and still in wonderful shape. And he wears it a lot.
