Do you like for your pants to be "snug" or more "loose" in the area of your leg from the top to the knee? (I think this is the thigh...but not just the upper part of the leg...I mean the entire section above your knee). It seems like many designers are making them intentionally tighter in this area....I don't like them too tight here...I don't mind a more "fitted" look, but it seems to be a trend. Have any of you noticed this? Do you have a preference in how your pants fit in that part of the leg? Just curious.....

For jeans, I do like a more fitted look on the thigh. When there is too much fabric, it can look sloppy and unattractive, especially the view from the back. For dress slacks, I prefer a loose fit on the thighs.

For dress pants I like either a slim straight leg that is not loose, but also not hugging the thighs. A lot of the straight leg pants can be a little too loose which doesn't look good on my 5'2" frame though. However, if there is a flare below the knee, I do like them more fitted in the thigh area.

Mostly my jeans are a bit fitted in the thigh area. I don't like "tight" but I also don't like them to be loose. I have a couple of pairs of jeans that are very loose in the leg and I only wear those on days that I don't care what I look like, LOL! My dressier pants are looser but tailored. I have noticed that on some of the models, especially with all the "skinny" pants, IMO they are way too tight to the point they look uncomfortable

Dark pants and jeans I like more fitted thru waist/hip/thigh, but not skin tight and not like jeggings, etc. For light colored pants, I like a slim tailored fit, not as close to the body as I will wear w/ a black trouser or dark wash jean.

I really don't like a tight fit at the knee in any pant but my running pants. And I do not wear my running pants anywhere but to run in.

I do not have long legs, so I don't really like to wear wide leg pants in a material that is not flowy/light weight. Even w/ a flowy pant, I do want a more fitted hip and waist or I feel like I just look bigger and shorter than I am.

I prefer a "slightly" loose fit in the thigh area but since I have thunder thighs, all my jeans fit fairly tight in that area. My dress pants are wider and, therefore, look sloppy (to me) and make me appear wider. I hate buying any type of pant/jean because I've yet to find a fit that I am really happy with.

However, I think many women wear jeans WAY too tight...I can't wear NYDJ brand, for example, becuase I think they're just made too snug in the upper legs. The fabric makes a difference, too, in overall comfort. A thick ponte, for example, is OK for a more fitted pair of pants, in my opinion. It's a wonder that we can all find pants that fit the way we like--given how many options are out there and how many different body types there are!

I did a purge of my clothes I wore to work. I got rid of most of my dress pants and many casual pants too. I thought the pants were too baggy in the thighs and I would never wear them again.

So out they went and I was happy to get rid of them. I don't like pants that are baggy in the thighs. And realized how many pair of pants that I had that were baggy. Guess that is why they were taking up space in my closet and I never ended up wearing them.

I prefer my jeans to be fitted in the thigh. This is the main reason I don't buy pants from the Q who, in my opinion, gears their pant making toward the butt/thigh crowd. If you are a slim legged person, most of the time you will find Q pants too roomy in the thigh.

I'm liking a pant these days that is more of a straight leg, and not so tightly fitted in the thigh. It doesn't look good on me or feel good. I don't want oversized, as that is not flattering, but something that is glued to my legs is not flattering either. Finding the right fit in pants or jeans of any kind is something which is more work now adays.

I personally do not like a tight fit on my upper leg ever. I accumulate fat on my thighs first and it shows in pants. I wear pants most of the time including jeans and don't like a tight fit on any part of my body. The pant doesn't have to be baggy to make me happy either. I guess I am in the "loose" category rather than snug.

I carry my weight in my hips and thighs, and my waist is smaller, so getting a good fit in jeans or pants is difficult. I will wear my jeans a bit tighter in the thigh, but I don't want to look squeezed into them either. I want my tailored trousers to be fitted in the waist & looser in the thigh. I usually size up in those kinds of trousers and have the waist taken in by my tailor.
