I need nice jeans for a short, fat body.

I need some new jeans, I think I want a black pair specifically.

I am short & fat, size 20 in SG jeans that I have.

I haven't bought any new jeans in a while. I have SG, Isaac Mizrahi, Denim & Co & some Levis.

Does anyone have anything to recommend?

I like INC from Macys and they frequently go on sale. I also got some gloria vanderbuilt jeans at costco I love and they were very cheap.

Try Secret Slimming jeans from Christopher and Banks from their website or ShopHQ. They offer a few different styles and colors. They have black.

I only wear this brand.

I also buy them for a friend who is in a nursing home. They offer petite woman sizes. She normally wears a size 20, but the 18WP fit her well. They have a little big of stretch and don't fade out like some jeans do and they don't get baggy and sloppy looking.

Talbots has a ton of sizes and some are curvy fit if that would suit you.

I haven't been to Kohls in ages, but the last time I was there , they have a big selection of denim in all sizes

Amazon is another possibilty, I ordered 3 pairs last week and kept 2

prices are good and it's easy to order and return what doesn't work

and I was surprised and how nice the jeans are, usually Amz clothing isn't great .

I recommend trying Logo jeans, especially those with repreve fabric. These jeans are made from recycled fabric and are earth friendly. Not only are they Eco-friendly, but they are not stiff and have just the right amount of stretch. These jeans are my favorites, although I also like other Logo jeans as well. They can be pricey, but watch for sales if that is a concern. Many styles come in petite.

I'm short and fluffy too. I have the best luck with jeans from Lands End. My 2nd choice is Lee jeans. I can often find them in short lengths but not always but I found a good tailor who doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

I second going to Kohl's. I just went there a couple of days ago and I think 3/4ths of the fashion area was jeans! I think Gloria Vanderbilt jeans might work for you. I'm not sure of the particular one, but it might be the Amanda one. What is nice about Kohl's selection is they seem to have everything from the very tight legged jegging ones to the flair ones. They have the pull on types, the eleastic waist ones and regular zip up ones. Their brands and their designer such as Vera and Lauren Conrad, to the regular ones like Levi. Good Luck!

@Carmie @Thanks for the tip! I have a relative in assisted living and the staff helps with the laundry. Getting things for her at Costco/sams in a great idea! Her last request was some cute jeans! She is I. Her nineties! So funny!

I want to second the Talbots curvy jeans. they have a lot of ease in the hip and thigh area, lots of styles, and will last forever.

they also have this curvy style in dress pants, shorts, etc.

I really like Talbots jeans, too. Another one of my faves is Woman Within Tummy Tamer jeans. They're geared to plus sized women and come in petites, as well as a wide variety of colors (including black) and styles.

I really appreciate all of your suggestions, but I think I will buy new earrings instead.

I have a headache from looking at all of the jeans!

If I think that they MAY fit me, they are out of my size.

If the description sounds good I look at the picture & they look hideous. Do they put the models in a too small size? The jeans look really tight around their lady parts or rucked up their bottoms!

New earrings & maybe some socks.

Try LL Bean for great jeans. On-line you'll find the style, leg cut, length, and size of your choice. And, they are well made and reasonable! Personally, I love their 100% cotton, zip front, straight leg jeans. Find what works for YOU and enjoy them!

I've gotten a couple pairs at Kohl's on,inevsince iut store doesn't have much. Their Somoza brand fit me well in a 18; but I did have to take some off the length. I just cut and frayed them. Lauren Conrad has some nice ones too. For me even the petite lengths are too long no matter who sells them.

I just got an email from Talbots about their Hampshire pants. It now comes with a comfort waist. It also comes in curvey-comfort waist and curvy. There are several jean options, a jogger and chinos etc!

Might be worth a look! or a try on in store.
