Why does QVC constantly make summer clothes in French Terry? You cannot wear French Terry in the summer, no matter QVC keeps telling us. It is definitely too warn on a hot summer day. Why not polyester and cotton. Perhaps have a line of clothes made with cotton poly or othe light weight material.

I like french terry and I do wear it in the summer. I think I can come in varying weights per season. Maybe not on the 90 degree days but it seems to be a 4 season material for me.

Its my personal opinion tha mostly the only thing they can get at a reasonable cost and what is plentiful since most clothing is made overseas and due to covid, and the shipping snafu. We are at the mercy of the foreign companies.

@MauraL I don't know about your French Terry, but most of what I've bought in the last year has been so thin and cheesy, it could more practically be worn in summer than winter. The only drawback is that much of it has long sleeves.

I don't think, however, they'll be showing much of it as we transition into summer.

Depends on where you live and what article of clothing you're referring to.

I live in Seattle and spend about 2 months from April to September at the Oregon coast. French terry is perfect for out here, when looking for casual clothing. I wear FT pants, shorts and zip up jackets. When it gets above 90, which is rare, I tend to stay indoors or wear linen and 100% cotton tanks/shells.

I avoid poly tops as we do have a bit of humidity out here and poly is uncomfortable to me and I abhor, on me, poly span, rayon span, rayon poly, any of those combos. But for some folks, those materials work for their weather.

Big country -- lots of different needs. Ain't it great we have choices?

I wear 100% french terry in the summertime. It is great for on the boat over a swimsuit.

No way would I wear Polyester by itself or mixed with cotton in the summer or anytime of the year. Poly is PLASTIC. It's like incasing yourself in a plastic bag.

Our summers are hot here...only natural fabrics please.

@KathyM23 You don't live in Oklahoma or Texas do you? When we have our two 90 degree days that's spring, then it's gone and it's up around 98 and up and sometimes humid too.

I agree about french terry but I won't wear polyester either, so cotton! Maybe 2 percent or so spandex.

@No, we have 4 separate seasons and in summer can have a lot of 90 degree days, but I still wear a lot of french terry. Offices I have worked in have always been cold. Men with suit jackets and us women freezing. Also to much air conditioning everywhere.

I do like poly if it is mixed with cotton and I also like Graver liquid knit. Yes, it is poly and span but very comfortable.
