Tags Sewn Inside Clothes

I can't stand clothes with tags sewn into the necklines. Seems cheap to me. I won't buy them. Anyone else feel the same?

I simply can't stand tags!! I had shingles in my thirties and ever since (in my sixties now) my skin is ultra sensitive and can't tolerate any tags. I end up clipping them all out.

I hate them, and usually cut them out if I can without damaging item. It's a way of advertisement I guess.

@FastDogWalker2 I cut them out, too, but sometimes it's hard to get it all out without opening up the seam

I haven't seen a tag placed in the neckline since I was a child. Didn't manufacurers move tags to the side seams of garments decades ago?

Now most tees, nightgowns and many other types of clothing simply has the manufacturer's name or logo printed inside the back of the item, which is even better!

Tags in clothes were common place when I grew up. Many of us went around with a tag sticking out of the back of the neckline until someone tucked it in for us. Another thing that has changed in my life time.

I cut them out before wearing; can't stand them. I love when the info is simply stamped in. No itch factor and no extra chore of removing the tag with a seam ripper so as to not make a hole in the garment.

I've never found them to be a problem and if it were I would just cut it out. Most of the care labels are now on the side seam. No big deal.

I remove them too. If I like the clothes and it has a tag, I'll buy it and deal with it's removal myself. Most tags I leave in don't bother me.

I have to cut the tags out of everything. I've found the better made clothes have tags that are sewn along the seam separately, so that they can be removed with a seam ripper and not affect the seam. Most other clothing has the tags serged into the side seams and while you can cut it close to the seam, the piece of fabric, or plastic like material remains in the seam, and this irritates my skin.

My problem is I wear two different sizes. So if I want another whatever or something similar, I better have that tag available. That means leave it in the garment, setting up a size filing system is beyond me at this point in my life. I appreciate Breezies for converting away from tags, but I've worn the size off some, so now I use a permanent marker to mark the size. I wear different sizes in bras, also.

I hate the tags! After ruining several tops with scissors I bought a seam ripper and cut each stitch. It's easy amd faster.

I have to cut them all off. Sometimes I swear they use plastic threads and they are awful. Some tags are sewn in so tighly they I nearly tear the fabric if I'm not real careful!

You won't buy an item because it has a tag? Really? I guess your closet is pretty empty then. I simply take my seam ripper and carefully remove it. Can't tell it was even there.

Then you may be limited to shopping in B&M only @snipsnapsnur as I have never seen on any site I order from state the type of label in the description.

I don't like them but don't find them 'cheap' at all.

I really hate those plastic tags you get in new Bras, etc. You cut them over a trash can, and plastic piece that is left will fall in. Sometimes they drop on the floor and you don't see them till you vacuum.

I would not call it cheap, however they can be annoying. I think I remember Fruit of the loom or Hanes being the first to have info printed inside of garments no tags. I remember thinking if they can do it why not everybody. A few times I have cut them out because they are irritating. As another poster said sometimes it is difficult getting them out without cutting the fabric, Fortunately the ones that have been irritating are few. I can usually leave them in without a problem
