Anne Hathaway's Chanel dress and white boots

Wow - this is a beautiful dress and she looks spectacular.

Anne Hathaway attends a benefit Gala in NYC. She donned a ladylike black Chanel dress for the occasion from the brand’s Cruise 2021/2022 collection, which featured a white dove print. The 6300 dress featured wide straps and a square neckline, as well as a black and white woven leather waist trim and pockets.

I will say I think she looks well dressed and beautiful here, elegant, all those good things.

I am not wild about the print and the delicate flounce at the bottom hem and the chunky white boots. The dress fits her perfectly and she looks very lady-like, which is the look I like. I think this dress in a solid color with the trim would be more appealing. I understand it is winter in NYC and that calls for boots, but I'm just not wild about these boots from what I can see. Maybe a more streamlined boot? ala Nancy Sinatra? Start walking.....

I don't like the dress that much but I love that she looks so pretty and happy! She has a beautiful smile.

I didn't think a lot of her until I saw her in Les Mis and she was really something in that!

She is radiant and her posture is impeccable....her happy demeanor reigns. The dress and boots are fine....she chose comfort over style. She wears the clothes, they don't wear her. She projects confidence and joy....bravo!

I like that she's not wearing anything super revealing, but it's not my favorite dress. It's just ok. I don't like the white boots. Black would be my preference.

Only I'd probably wear a black, long sleeved turtleneck underneath.

Recalling 'The Nanny' (Fran Dresher). Love some of her styles!

Oh, 'The Nanny' should have a thread dedicated to her fashions on that program. I loved the show and Niles, but mostly to see what she would be wearing. And her Mother and Grandma were as outrageously wardrobed as Fran.

Even though that show has been over for ages now, I can still recall so many of her mini skirted suits with the dark black hosiery and black turtleneck under the well fitted jackets.

Towards the end of the series, before she and Sheffield were to get married, they were staying somewhere, it had to be Colorado or cold country somewhere, because she had on the most beautiful long suede shearling coat embroidered with florals, it was well below her knee, but not quite a maxi. She wore clothes very well and looked good in everything, not too skinny and certainly not overweight either. Poifect!!
