I have always loved long cardigans and worn at work a lot of times. So remember the Ronald sweater (I missed getting it). I like a topper over my clothes and long cardigans serve that purpose. Like @Kachina624 I wear that first BFD long cardi at home because it looks like a robe to me and I don't like wearing it out. We keep our house cool and I like to layer for comfort.

I am kinda short but I think I look OK in long cardigans anyway and I have a good number of them. The season for the heavier ones is short but I can wear a coat over the thinner ones in the winter.

Tomorrow I plan to wear my Isaac Cappucino Plaid one with either cappucino pants and a creme sweaer or winter white pants with a cappucinno top. I have been looking forward to wearing it.

I like the Barefoot Dreams one Amy is presenting now but I have so many I'll pass this one up

I must be in the minority, because they sure sell a lot of them.

@QVCkitty1 If we're talking about the long dusters that are BD or similar, I love mine. I find them so much easier to navigate getting in and out of car, walking in the mall or just doing errands than a heavy puffer coat. If the weather is really cold, I just add layers underneath.

I guess NC has a more mild winter than some, but I wear mine all fall/winter...rarely reach for a coat.

@Shanus I do the same thing, wear a long duster or cardigan, than wear a sweater or sweatshirt with a scarf if I don't need a heavier coat. I enjoy them and I also wear them to work, they dress up a pair of jeans.

I bought two at different times. I'm still not sure why I bought the 2nd one considering the first one was too big and I should have returned it. However it is toasty warm and so I wear it at home and it works fine.

Since I'm only 5 ft 2, I remind myself to NOT buy the duster style cardigans as they simply don't flatter me at all. I admire them on the tall ladies but that's not me - even though in my head, I am 6 ft tall! LOL

I'm already in my puffer coat here in WI, temps in the 20's and that is warm - gets very cold here in winter.

I tried the long dusters and if you are short and not stick thin they are very unflattering and "in the way." I wore a long Halston one, very chic and simple, but the longer back was too long on me, and it clung to my rear and looked clunky and bad.

I now love wearing it at home, can swan around in the evenings with my lovely long duster, and be warm and not worry about always adjusting it.

Our seasons here go from hot summery weather to cold, and in the spring from very cold windy and dreadful to warm days in May. I have 4 or 5 longer cardigans (not dusters) folded in my closet and perhaps wear them once or twice a year out and about.

I think if you don't need one or want one, you should not buy one. Of course you aren't the only feels that way. I think you should that this is a huge country with different climates and women who want and need different things in their wardrobes. I actually agree with you. I have no interest in sweater coats, sweater dusters or knee length cardigans. I live in MA and those things are not warm enough for me in cold weather and too warm in mild weather. I work from my home office, if I worked in my office, I'd probably have one for the office to use when I dashed out for lunch or to go from one building to another. My heavy coat was always too much for those quick trips outside.

I'm wearing one of the long cardigans I bought from QVC over an off-white turtleneck and jeans (and Clark boots). It's a thin knit fabric - good for around the house - too lightweight to wear outside w/o a coat/

LOGO A397396
