I am tired of the NO CLOSURE look in jackets, etc.

I know it costs a lot less to not give tops a closure button, but I hate that open, messy look.

I don't want a jacket that flies open as you walk. I want to CLOSE IT.

But so many tops are made with "open tops."

I won’t buy a cardigan or coat with no way to button or snap it closed.

I always sew a hook or velcro to the ones that I have. I don't mind on anything short sleeved but why a long sleeved jacket or cardigan thgat is not going to provide overall warmth unless it is a flowing material for a fashion statement?

If you don't like to wear your jacket open then close it. I love the look of an open jacket. Have been wearing them like that way before it became popular. But during the cold, snowy, winter months I'm the first one to button, fasten, zip up my jacket.

I agree. especially when the style/fabric is more tailored

and I am tired of curved hems on everything, was at Athelta yesterday so many of their shirt/top had that feature

I prefer a straight across hem

So many cute ones that i would've bought if they had a closure.

I'm not about to pay these prices for clothing that I have to alter to add some type of closure, I just leave 'em behind.

I love a jacket with no closure. I never button a jacket or even a blouse if I can put a tank under it. Lots of people don't want to feel restricted. I like the informal free look.

@insomniac2 I like to wear mine open, but like buttons on them so they look like they can be closed. I have noticed that some use snaps. That's OK when worn closed, but open, the side with the sewn on underneath snap (sounds weird) looks off and unfinished.

@cosmic1 If I purchase a cardi w/o a closure, I go up a size, so it looks like there's enough fabric to cross over the chest area.

I ignore buttons on jackets and sweaters since I never use them, never have. I prefer see the column of color underneath, or whatever it is I've paired with it.

Cold weather outerwear is different. I must have actual, proper closures on outerwear in 30-degree weather.

While I personally can't layer clothing due to the climate I live in, I've notice that many of the models can't close their jackets/sweaters because the size they're wearing is too small. A common problem discussed many times!

I know!! What is that??! I can't stand open front anything. What's the point? I'm with you 100%. Maybe it's a way to cheapen in the price of the garment. There have been so many cute sweaters/jackets but I just passed over because they were open front. I need at least a couple of buttons or a zipper, something. I hope this style goes away soon. It's as popular with me as jogger pants....not.

I prefer open cardigans and jackets. I do not buy these items to wear as outerwear, they’re inside clothes that I’ll wear something under. Closures just add bulk.

I like both the "buttoned up" and the "fly away" looks.

For me - it totally depends on the indivdual piece, what the weather is and where I'm going.

I don’t know who is in charge of QVC fashion but it has done a 180 over the past few years. An open cardigan is ok for some occasions but it is not something that we need a lot of! Here we go though! Every QVC brand has to have at least a couple of open front cardigans all made out of the usual synthetic material!
I don’t know who runs the fashion department but I really dislike the way things are going. I guess we are just supposed to take it or leave it just like everything else.

There is a lot of duplication among the varous "designers" (and I use that term loosely).

Sometimes I wonder if their designers are merely "xerox machines."

Just recently SG and Truth & Style had a new item that was just like LOGO had several years ago (I have one in my closet) and Tolan has done frequently.

I won't buy a cardigan, blazer, coat, or jacket without a zip or button closure. I don't always use the closures, but I want to have that option. I also think a garment looks more "finished" with closures.

I am always on the run and don't take those few minutes, but I DO prefer buttons to a zipper when it gets below 40 degrees.

@jackthebear I like straight hems, too. I have stopped buying tops that have the IMO stupid hemlines.

Vendors and hosts on Q will say "oh it hides X". No not really. Sometimes those odd hemlines accentuate what you don't want people to see.
