Leggings/skirt combo?

I just looked at today's TSV. I consider myself to be informed on fashion trends and have a job in which I observe many trends, but I have never seen a combo seriously worn by anyone over the age of, say, three. Would you wear this in public?

No ~~ I would not wear in public ~~ considered these only to wear to my Zumba class, but otherwise, I believe this TREND will be short-lived.

Maybe if I was in my teens. Wear a skirt or choose leggings but not together, sorry.

I thought Pat James was very wise to not wear this on Fashionably Early - and I really thought Jane had more fashion sense than to wear it. Even with good legs, just too silly.

Thanks to those of you who validated my thoughts on this. I work with teenagers and have never seen this sort of look. Gazelle77, sorry for the re-post, I don't spend much time on these forums. Just happened to get an email on this hideous TSV! Wonder why?

I agree. But it would have to be right fabric, fit, length etc. could look cute if you had the right bod/legs. And I don't care how old you are. At least with the skirt, you are not seeing someone in leggings or yoga pants with a huge behind and panty lines

If you're slender, I guess. Jane looked terrible in it last night and looks

bad on the large models. Have always thought leggings alone were not for everyone.

It does seem very juvenile. I especially abhor any type of nude or light tan color legging. It is not a good look.

I have two similar items that are for exercising only. Just like I wouldn't wear my exercise capris as casual clothing, I wouldn't wear this garment that way, either.

I did not like this item, and as a plus size this item would do nothing for my shape. My goal is to look better and wear the most flattering clothes not the least flattering.
