Did you take a minute to view the items by this vendor? New to the q, many of the offerings are sweatshirts and sweatshirt dresses. Most of the items I think are really pricey. Certainly nothing special here - what do you think of this line? Anytnig here you'd love to put in your closet?

Just reminds me of a line for under 30. I looked at one of the sweatshirts items and it looked ill fitting on the model, bulky let's say.

Thanks for the info. I always like to look at new fashion lines.

I just checked out the items in the line. The field jackets look nice, but I don't want to pay that price. Nothing else really interests me.

I ordered the Magnolia sweatshirt. It didn't really look like an actual sweat shirt to me, just a pretty top. I didn't see anything else I liked in this line so far.

We will see if it lives up to my expectation when it arrives. Currently it is in the dreaded Preparing your Order limbo, as is everything else I ordered in the past 10 days.

I found a couple of dresses I like, but not enough to spend moneyon them right now:

A462218 Draper James Natalie Sweatshirt Dress in Magnolia at $88

A462416 Draper James Chambray Ruffle Shift Dress for $115

According to information about the line, it is designed to have a southern style, whatever that means.

Not sure why several new items for summer are long sleeve "field" jackets.

Sizes on the Q website are limited, and since these are new to the Q and no shows are scheduled, this has the feeling of another odd lot purchase.

Draper James has collaborated before with Lands End and Eloqui. Wonder if this is similar. I don’t remember if the items sold on those sites were also on the actual Draper James site.

I did laugh a little because the items I originally saw were sweats and other leisure items as my impression of Draper James is a little dressier (think dresses that Q would never sell as there would be too many returns due to fit! I think it’s always better to shop direct for designers like this, rather than Q.)

Yes, the Draper James x Lands' End swimwear is on the Draper James website. I actually purchased a linen utility shirt swimsuit coverup from Lands' End (ditsy floral in colors I love), but it's on the DJ site as well. Not everything on the website is dressy -- there are sweatshirts and things like that as well as quite a few dresses.

BTW, I don't think she claims to be the "designer." She started the business as a lifestyle brand.

Absolutely NOT. Yes, she was arrested and her husband charged with DUI. She said some things that went against her goody two shoes persona. But, in no way should her comments be compared to what Mel said.
