Preferred sleeve length?

Carolyn Gracie said in one of the Belle by Kim Gravel shows that QVC once polled people on what their favorite sleeve length was, and 3/4 sleeves was at the top. I have never liked 3/4 sleeves! I feel like it's never the perfect temperature for it. I mostly wear short sleeve tops and layer cardigans over it for cooler weather. I have trouble layering 3/4 sleeves under jackets and sweaters because they bunch up at the elbow. I guess I'm in the minority, though.

So what is your preferred sleeve length?

Definitely NOT 3/4! Elbow and long sleeves are my favorites.

I can't really say I have a preference. I have tops with short, 3/4 and long sleeves.

I really don't like 3/4 sleeves, for me it is an awkward length.

I actually prefer any length. I have long sleeved, short sleeved and 3/4 sleeved. 3/4 is good for me when it's too cold for short sleeved but too warm for long sleeved.

3/4 sleeves work for me because I have short arms and don't have to worry about sleeves being too long. I can push them up if it gets warm.

Elbow length especially in the summer. Maybe 3/4 for spring and fall and long in the winter. I despise cap sleeves and short sleeves don't really look so great on this 71 year old. I wish that I could find more true elbow length tees.

My favorite is elbow and 3/4. I have short arms and most long sleeves have to be shortened. I love 3/4 sleeves!....just not when it's very hot.

I think 3/4 length is kind of matronly, plus they're too hot in summer but not warm enough in winter. That few inches make a big difference. I personally prefer elbow length and often hem up light weight long sleeve and 3/4 length shirts. It pays to learn sewing basics.

@PreKteacher I like a variety of lengths, depends on the shirt or blouse. I like the look of a long sleeved blouse. I like long sleeved t-shirts. I like sleeveless shell tops, especially when they go in ever so slightly and show the top of the shoulder.

But I do like 3/4 sleeve, especially when it's too hot for full length sleeves but short sleeve doesn't seem dressy enough. 🤔👕👗👚

3/4 or long (which I usually roll up). I will wear elbow around the house, but I really dislike looking at old arms.

I like a long sleeve I can push up when I like too. I also like a banded elbow sleeve called a short "bishop sleeve".

I can't push up 3/4 length sleeves on my skinny arms, they just slide back down

In the summer (in the hot, humid south) I prefer short sleeve, but I always take a light long sleeve over-shirt for the blasting A/C in stores and restaurants.

Plus, I have titanium plates in one arm, starting right behind my wrist toward elbow and multiple surgery scars (shattered my radius and ulna) from an airbag that attacked me in an accident, so I prefer not to show them.

IMO, everyone should wear the length that they prefer and feel good in, it's nice to have choices.
