SOLD OUT... but NOT sold out???

I tried to order Susan Graver's shrug in her show tonight (Sunday, 9 pm EST) but when I added it to my card it was sold out.

I went back 2 hours later and tried to put it in my cart and I was able to!!!!! So I ordered it. Stroke of luck for me, but how does that happen? Glad it did!

Someone else's credit card failed.....and you were fortunate enough to grab the item that went back in stock! Lucky you....

Declined credit cards and people change their minds and cancel orders.

This happens all the time for the above mentioned reasons.

I find also that if you like an item, bookmark it. Then check that link daily. Even if that item is not searchable on QVC, often your bookmarked link will take you to it and sometimes it will be back in stock.

There were some English Gardens faux topiaries I liked and I got them "as is". I wanted more so I bookmarked the link. I managed to snag two more that way. But when I did a search for them on QVC (before going through my link) they did not come up.

When they do announce a sell out, check immediately. All sizes and colors can't sell out at once. They call sell outs early imho to keep the number of unhappy people down.

Is this also the case when people place things in their carts but then don't go through with the purchase? I know the items don't stay in one's cart forever, and I've heard the hosts lately telling people to make sure to complete the purchase so they don't miss out.

I think maybe they call sold out also because they have so many people on the lines waiting to place orders. It would be difficult to assess what sizes and colors those holding will want.

People have posted they use 'check hold' on items. We all know they do that so they can think about it.

I highly doubt anyone is mailing in an old fashion check to QVC these days.

When they cancel, items go back in stock and can appear days later even though previously listed as a sell out.
