Fashion Favorites (w/e 5/1/21)...

My favorite outfits this week from some of my favorite fashion bloggers. I couldn't (or wouldn't) necessarily wear any of these, but I like the way they've been styled or some particular component of the outfit. I might put an accessory on my shopping list. Maybe the outfit inspires me to put together something similar from my wardrobe or to try different color combinations. Sometimes, I just love the whole look. Thought I'd share and hope you enjoy...

#3(a)...I love this wrap dress

#7...favorite...great casual outfit

#9...give me a necklace and a different hat (or no hat), and I'd love it

I wouldn't wear this skirt, but I think she looks polished and put together for casual wear, somewhat preppy. Another example of how women dress in my area.

@MacDUFF I ADORE #6!! In my younger (much) days I had an outfit similar. Just love everything about it.

Also #4. I love the denim jacket with the white dress.

Numbers: 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 12 for myself.

All nice choices. Not too sure about the super wide pants, though. (for myself, that is.)

I especially like #6 and #9. Perfect Summer clothes with Accesories. Wish I still had that lifestyle. Maybe again after COVID......

Love most of these (and I had that same flashback before I scrolled down and saw the pic...lol) but I still can't get on board with the "highwater" style of pants in #8.

@MacDUFF Love the simplicity of #1 and #9. #8 is so cute and breezy. The model on #13 ripped off Gumby's pants, ridiculous.

My favorites this week are #1, #7, #8 and #9. Love white jeans but I’m always afraid when wearing them that I’ll end up walking around with a big splotch on my backside! 😳 I love the skirt in #6 but don’t seem to have a place to wear one now.

#5 reminds me of what we wore in the 1960s.

I like the colorful tops. I've made a few colorful crochet pieces for the summer.

Another 1960s look. I wore them then and I'm wearing them now!

I bought three pairs of high waist wide leg pants .... leg opening is 24 1/4" ... but there is no pleat down the front like these.

It's almost as if the designers went though old Vogue, Butterick and McCall's pattern books (or my box of old patterns!).

I used to sew many of those 'shift' types of dresses.

Easy to sew, as I recall.

Also, I love anything high waist, without too much volume.

Straighter leg pants appeal to me.

But, 'back in the day' (so to speak), I wore a lot of wide leg pants and suits. Loved them.

The skirt in #2 and outfit in #6 are stand outs for me. I also like the appeal of the blouses in 7 and 8. I enjoyed your comparison of the pose in number 13 a and b, funny!!!!!
