An email from Bloomingdale's said that one of the Spring Trends is the Poet Blouse.

What do you think of this trend?

Do you like it?

Would you wear a relaxed-fit, Victorian-inspired blouse?

Me too! I think the blouse in the picture is cute, but that's not what I picture as a poet blouse.

I'll give this trend a thumbs up, but I won't be buying any. For whatever reason, I bought a bunch of blouses during quarantine last spring, that I never had the opportunity to wear, so I'm pretty well covered with blouses this spring! LOL!

Poet blouses really do have very full sleeves. What this model is wearing looks too small on her, as well.

This is a trendy style that comes and goes...never one that is always in style even though it's not trendy anymore.

An example of a design that's always in style that comes and goes as a trend...the button up shirt...like the one men wear under suit jackets, blazers, and sweaters.

No, I wouldn't wear poet blouses. They're not me...the image I want to project.

A blouse like this

with jeans, black boots, a black choker necklace and big hoop earrings was my favorite outfit back in junior high.

No, I would not wear that blouse. However, I do like a white cotton eyelet blouse in the summer. Just more tailored with no puffs or lace trim.

I'm a hopeless romantic, though.

Funny, that in the past, I seemed to get many compliments (from men) whenever I wore romantic looking blouses AND also whenever I wore men's shirt types of women's shirts, with blazers. Sometimes with a paisley or cute tie or scarf.

Quite a dichotomy when I think about it.

I believe I mentioned somewhere before that I have a similar (to yours) blouse, only in white. Lighter weight fabric. Same identical collar.

It's very airy and breezy on warm, humid days.

Jerry Seinfeld's "puffy shirt" is in now in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History though not currently on view. Actually nothing is on view there right now because museums and National Zoo are closed due to Covid.

As to the spring trend poet's shirt, I would have loved wearing it 40 or so years ago. Now, nice to see that style on others. Just not on me.
