Talbots - Red Hanger Sale

I was in Talbots yesterday shopping their famous sale. I picked up few things, cable knit sweaters that were $29.99, puffer vest, + a couple other things. Sort of slim pickins in the store. Also, I used their credit card to get the extra 5% off. Now today I see their promotion is different. I’m not sure which ones I will keep. Anyone else shop it? Talbot's seems to have never ending sales. Can pick up some really good deals. Our store generally has very little in the basic "medium"-sized range...always picked clean in those sizes.

@Wsmom They can always look online for you to see if it's at another store and call there to have it sent to you. T's clerks provide excellent service.

Talbots has all kinds of sales on a fairly regular basis, but I've found that their flash sales offer the best prices. These are the sales that are only a few hours in duration where they sell sweaters or pants for $30, dresses for $40 or shirts/blouses for $20 or $25. These are also the most forthright sales. With most of their other sales, you have to read the terms of the sale carefully - sometimes the discount is off the original price, other times it's off the reduced price. You really need to pay attention. Talbots is very good about crediting your account if you buy an item which goes on sale shortly after you bought it (I'm not sure of the timeframe).

During the pandemic, I've done most of my Talbots shopping online. They fill my orders from their warehouse or from one of their stores. While my local B&M Talbots is very large, even they can't stock all items in all sizes. While their staff are very nice and helpful, by shopping online I can see if the items I want are in stock in my size.

Love Talbots, it’s my favorite store. Great selection of classic mixed with some trend and excellent quality. Their sales are amazing. I picked up lots of fabulous things over the past several months at a fraction of the price. Due to COVID, I have been doing most of my shopping online. A few times, however, when I really wanted to try on a few things, I called my local Talbots store and they pulled the items for me so they were ready when I arrived.
