Yes, there are embellishments, but they are well-made and nice. One is nicely enamelled. The blend feels like all-cotton to me. I wear a petite, and this top fits in my normal Q size (M). The ballet neckline is very flattering! I got the periwinkle. One nice thing is that it skims the body -- not a lot of excess fabric through the middle. Shoulders and sleeves are styled in a flattering way. I was really expecting a thin, flimsy fabric. This top is nice! This fabrication would never be found in a run-of-the-mill store.
