Too Many Tees!

I think I have too many t-shirts!

I have lots of short sleeve & long sleeve tees. Even though they are “t-shirts”, I think many of them look more like “tops” & are nice enough to wear alone or layered under my hoodies & leather jackets. I wear a t-shirt most days since I am retired.

I just ordered & received a few more solid & print long sleeve tees from Kohl’s. They were having a sale, plus I had 30% off coupon. At under $10 each, I couldn’t resist. I really like their Croft & Barrow & Sonoma tees. I probably have about 30 total tees in my collection. 🥴

Anyone else have lots of t-shirts?

@wilma I don't have that many. I buy a few each season and then I get rid of them the next year because I wash them frequently and it wears them down. I just don't have room in my closet for anything more and fear the rods are going to fall one day as it is. I don't care for print T shirts, only for solid colors, most white, black, pink and blue.

I KNOW I have too many tees. WAY too many. I like Land's End supima cotton relaxed-fit v-neck tees. They have been having such good sales that I haven't been able to resist. I'm out of space to store them But I got an email this morning that they are having 60% off today, so.....lol

I have many, too many to count. I have plenty of solid colors but I love prints, either abstract or geometric but no floral. If I can find something Southwestern, it's pure gold.

Another SW fan here. I think I might have mentioned Sabaku tees to you before but you didn't care for them. I'm not liking the designs as much anymore.

Girl, same. I just purged a bunch and got rid of all the "beefy fit" ones that people have given me over the years because they're so unflattering.

I have a good supply of t-shirts - but not too many.

A couple of summers ago, Hanes had some 100% poly t-shirts and I stocked up - all colors, both long sleeve and short sleeve. Each summer, I add to the collection.

These poly are much better for layering in hot weather - and they look neater, don't get soggy.

My shirt obsession is turtlenecks. A girl can never have too many turtlenecks. Every color and fabric imaginable. (A package came today with six more!)

Like you, I love a good bargain, and if you are scoring nice shirts for little money, why not have as many as you want?

I confess I have quite a few. I don't really distinguish between t-shirt and tops--if they are knitted and I fold them up instead of hanging them, they are in the count.

Mine are mostly either sleeveless or long sleeved, because I really love dressing in two layers. So I have combinations ranging from a tank under a thin woven shirt, all the way to a warm turtleneck under a jacket in the winter, and everything in between. So I like to have a few choices in several cool-to-warm categories, but don't need in-between sleeve lengths..

I find that the D&C cotton tees and tops are well made and fitting, and last a long time. LLBean and Macy's have excellent choices with somewhat more refined fabrics and cuts, which also last and last. I don't usually buy the very thin types that only last a season or two--they are nice, but not for me. So this means as I add new colors, my pile tends to grow. When it gets too big for the shelf I keep them on, I end up donating some in the hopes they will add welcome variety to someone else's pile!

I do have a lot of tees, but I wear at least 2 a day. I sleep in one and I work out in one. I tend to buy the same style over and over. V neck in white, black, aqua & navy. Mostly white and black. I have a few nice pima tees from Issac I wear as a "top" all by itself. The other tees, if not for sleeping/running are for layering purposes. I like cotton w/ a touch of lycra to hold shape.

Bought some inexpensive tees at Target that are very soft and great for sleeping in ... but would NOT wear them for any other purpose. Total junk after they were washed.

I also have a lot of tees, it was what I wore every day when I worked & still do, now that I've retired. It was funny, when I was getting ready to list my house up in WA to move to AZ when I retired, my realtor lady up in way remarked when she looked in my walk-in closet, "You sure do have a lot of "Tee-Tops"! It was not a phrase I've heard before or since, calling them Tee-Tops!

Omg, yes! I was folding laundry yesterday and tidying up my drawers and my closet and started folding and arranging my tees by color and it seemed like I would never finish. I am the queen of white tees, I wear them under my sweaters and cardigans and I buy them from Old Navy when they have a sale. I have tons of them. But I also have tees that are, as you said, more like tops than tees. Long/short/3/4 sleeves in every color. I bought most for QVC and while people here tend to complain about quality, I think the quality of QVC is excellent. Which is why I have so many tees. They never stretch or lose their color. They don't fray at the seems. I have a couple of Isaac's tees that I swear must be 10 years old and I wear the heck out of them year round.

Agree with @wilma and @Desertdi --- there's no such thing as "too many" tee shirts. So versatile!! I do buy most of mine at Kohl's - love those Croft & Barrow tees! I just ordered a few supima cotton tees from Lands End and haven't received them yet. Seriously, I don't remember how many I ordered, so opening the box will be a surprise!

(@Andreatoo I think tee shirts got their name from their shape. If you lay one flat, it forms a "T")

This is fun and interesting to read. I don't own one T shirt. I never wear them and never have! I either wear a sleeveless tank or a 3/4 or long sleeve top. On the other hand, my DH wears one everyday with cargo shorts. Many here mentioned that theirs are folded. His are hanging up by color.

As you are aware I am with you! No sleeves or long sleeves. I'm super picky about my short sleeves. I just don't think they are particularly flattering on me but certain shapes I will do. I do own a couple of what I consider tees but I think it has to do with fabrication and the finishing of the neck line etc.

@Andreatoo I just don't care for the look of where a Tshirt hits on my arm. It isn't attractive at all on me. Same with a crew neck, turtle neck, funnel neck...... I only wear V necks. It makes it easier when I peruse.....eliminates alot!
