Barefoot dreams laundry

Hello all. I tend to be chilly in the winter and need an extra snuggle layer to feel warm.

In the past I would wear a fleece type cardi or wrap. I would wash this weekly to keep it clean and fresh and remove dog hair and lint.

I have been looking at a few BD items for this winter. Do the items hold up to weekly washing?

For the price, I do not want to look like I am wearing an old ratty blanket.

It’s been my experience that they do. I have a few that I wear around the house all the time. I don’t wash them after every wear, as I tend to wear them in the evening when I’m on the couch reading. I have a black cozy chic circle cardigan that has faded slightly, which would be expected with black. I do wash them with gentle detergent and no fabric softener, I dry them on a low temperature. I haven’t had any issues with them balling, shrinking or anything of the sort. They are very lovely and comfy around the house (without looking sloppy)!

I buy inexpensive thermal long sleeve undershirts on Amazon. They're very soft and keep me warm and cozy. I don't go broke buying them or overheat.

@Kachina624 which ones do you like? I am always cold and this is a better idea then the tank shirts I wear under my sweaters.

@tsavorite It's a little early for them yet. They don't have a brand name on them, very generic. When we were kids and complained of being cold, mother always said, "put on an undershirt".

I see some that are fleece inside and smooth on the outside that say they will keep you warm....I might try just 1 of those and see. @Kachina624 What I don't like are the waffle knit kind....long johns for boys LOL!

@Abrowneyegirl. I am lucky enough to own a couple. Yes, they have laundered very well. In fact, I think they get softer. I have one in particular that I have even worn to bed. It's warm and cozy but not heavy. I wash them on cold and dry them on low.

they hold up extremely well.......i wash in warm water.....do NOT use fabric softener........and i lay mine flat to dry.
