Hello Susan.

Would you consider adding a button on your sweater jacket?
It would be nice not to have to hold my jacket closed with my hands.

especially when I run out to get my mail or groceries.

@garveron I am with you on that. To designers across the board -- a button or at least a hook. Aside from the needed warmth of a sweater I am always fussing with an open front jacket /sweater/ or whatever.

You might investigate a large hook and eye or some sort of fastener that could be hidden and stich it on .
