I need to belong to TSA (Tee Shirt Anonymous). I have stacks of grey, white and black in short sleeve and long sleeve. They're divided by v neck, crew neck and scoop neck. I'm counting at least a dozen or more in each pile collected over the last several years....whites and blacks replaced more often. Then I have 2 stacks of accent colors: red and wedgewood/French blue...yes, long and short sleeve and different neck styles.

My mission this weekend is to go through all of them and see why I pass up some to get to my favorites and pare down. The "passed overs" will go in my bin of studio wear.

I do love the versatility of tees and wear them all seasons...more than sweaters in our climate. Anyone else addicted to tees?

I know I have more T's than any other kind of top and too many especially that I wear only around the house or when I walk in the dark.

I wear them around the house almost everyday now that I’m retired. When they’re new they're nice enough to wear out for running errands. I have short sleeve versions for warm weather & long sleeve tees for colder weather. I have prints and solids. Sometimes I layer them under hoodies, jackets, sweaters, etc.

I’ve already gone through my short sleeve tees, and put old ones in my rag bin downstairs. I went online and purchased a few new long sleeve tees a few weeks ago. I always buy new short sleeve tees for Spring/Sumer & new long sleeve tees for Fall/Winter.

@ScrapHappy

My DH also has tons of tees, especially short sleeve ones. Lots of school logo tees, vacation tees, tees from his engineering days with the US Navy, white tees, etc. I have to beg him to through away the old ratty ones.

ITA about the white and black needing replacements faster. Gray is already gray !

Short sleeved ones can be versatile on luke warm days that start chilly . like now where I live. You can put a sweater or jacket over them then remove later.

Bleach and paint design the ones that have made their way to my 'around the house ones' ! My neighbors haven't complained yet . When I decide that they are beyond that stage I get out the scissors & cut off the bottom for cleaning and dusting. Especially the mostly cotton ones.

Oh boy, Do I have tee shirts!

I know I easily have around 200 of them hanging in my closet. They are mostly from Christopher and Banks. I have a few sleeveless, a few short sleeve, a ton of 3/4 sleeve and a few long sleeve ones.

I have them sorted into " old to wear while cleaning" in a seperate space, then according to colors and sleeve lengths. Some of them are over 15 years old and still look great.

Two or three times a year C&B has their tees on sale for around $6 to $10. When they do, I buy them 10 or more at a time. About a month ago, they were $6...I got 10 new ones in great colors.

I only wear 100% cotton and always hang to dry, so they don't shrink. I wear them all year long as my uniform...the 3/4 length sleeve my favorite by far.

If you change "tee shirt" to "turtleneck" ... I can relate.

I have them hanging in the closet according to color. Majority are black or white, but I have a wide variety of other colors, prints, and 3 sleeve lengths (sleeveless, short sleeve and long sleeve.)

In each color - there are different fabrics for different occasions. Some dressy silks, rayons, etc. - but majority are cottons.

I've been tempted to count them - but I really don't want to know the number. It might keep me from buying more.

@Shanus You will have lots of company in the TSA. I have tees in every sleeve length from cami/tank to long sleeve. I am primarily a crewneck girl, but do have v-necks, scoops and boats in the collection. I never think of having too many, but I suppose some people may say so. There are the ones which I use for my regular wardrobe and are in tip top shape. These I would not be embarassed to wear as an uncovered top to be seen as a focal point of the outfit. Then there are the ones which get bumped down to being layering pieces and they are always worn under sweaters, jackets, and sheerer fabrics which needs something underneath for modesty. I have the tees which are used for exercise and that is a different set from the ones I use for gardening. I have a few which are only worn around the house. It's not that they are in awful condition, but rather they were never selected to be great fitting or stylish. Most of these are loose fitting with fun prints which are confortable and functional. They also work well as gardening tees since they have a longer length.

A couple times a year I go through all of my t-shirt stashes and edit the collection.

I made a little head way yesterday. Trying on the tees that are iffy is tedious. I think the issue is since I wash at least twice a week, the piles of "house", gym and studio tees need to be pared down. Those are in stacks of wire drawers. My built in shelves will then have only the "good" ones left...no stretched out necks, too long, wrong sizes, too big, etc. Only the wearable ones (fit for others to see) will be shelved.

@Shanus

I get it but my stacks and stacks are sleeveless. I have very few T-shirts because I'm just not into short sleeves. It's long or no sleeve for me

Not really a fan of scoop necks so most of mine are mocks, turtlenecks, boat necks,crewnecks and Vs. And when I find one that I like I buy it in every color.

I can’t even begin to guess how many of these tops I have.

I am most comfortable wearing these tops, alone or layered,

for casual wear. Of course, I am now retired and should have weeded out so much years ago. You name it, I have it in large quantities. Shoes, handbags, and jewelry. Crazy. What was I thinking? Answer is I wasn’t thinking. Oh, being a New Englander, I just love, love sweaters!

I have been weeding out my t-shirts over the last week. I donated several sacks yesterday. Some are too tight (sadly), some are too short, and some are too out of shape. I've already decided that next spring I am going to invest in nice, new t-shirts from LL Bean or Lands End. No more thin, cheap ones for me.

Dratts, I keep wearing and washing and wearing the same several tee shirts.

What is wrong with me, anyway?

Well, I guess because I'm not roaming around in stores, malls, etc., I'm not wearing my newer, nicer ones.

I think I'll trim my older trimmed down tees into around the house tanks, worn under tops and shirts and/or worn as sleeping tanks.

Then I can concentrate on wearing all of my other tees.

This is me, too. I still look for tees that "do something." A little twist there, a tuck here. But I tend to stay with the same color palette.

Short sleeve tees for warm weather; long sleeve tees for cool.

Just looks clean & neat, and not fussy.
