Solution for Static Cling?

I have the faux washed silk pants and tunic--love the tunic--but the pants cling to my legs when I walk. I know this is a common problem with certain fabrics. What's the best way to solve it? And, is this happening to anyone else?

I want to keep both pieces because they are beautiful. Appreciate your help!

Buy a can of Static Guard at the grocery store in with the detergent and fabric softener. Turn the garment inside out and spray thoroughly. let some time elapse before wearing.

Try using a moisturizer on your legs before wearing. I had the same problem with microfleece pajamas and found this solution. It really works!

Throw a dryer sheet in with the clothes dryer. You can also rub a dryer sheet on your legs

Pin metal safety pins to the inside of your pant legs. Static will disappear.

I keep half dryer sheets in a ZipLoc snack bag. One lives in each vehicle, one in each suitcase and one in purse. They last one day short of forever.

Actually, it's my handy use for those free sample packs of Gain sheets. Actually, the only use I've ever found for dryer sheets, since I don't use fabric softener in the dryer at all.

I have never heard the safety pin solution. I don't have a big problem with cling but I do get shocks because I wear fleece around the house in the winter. Do you think it will help with that?

I use Static Guard. It works great.

If I have a fancy item of clothing where I don't want to spray directly onto the material, I spray my legs and hips with the Static Guard. It accomplishes the same thing.

Another vote for Static Guard I buy it 3 cans at a time, never want to run out. I even have to spray my hairbrush sometimes or deal with fly away hair.

I use static guard all the time, especially after taking clothes out of plastic bags. I also have used moisturizer and both work, but usually Static Guard works best. I have never tried the pins but I will.

I had never heard of that, but I tried it yesterday and it WORKS GREAT. My Chiropractor even noticed that I didn't "shock" him when he helped me with my coat. Thanks to you and Esmeraldagooch for the great tip.
