Do you wear bright color coats and dresses?

I have owned a bright red coat in the past, but I sold it when it didn’t fit anymore. I currently own a bright blue rain slicker which “brightens” a rainy day.

I owned a kelly green dress and a red dress in the past. They were very figure flattering on me, but when they no longer fit I got rid of them. The most colorful dresses I currently own are a few printed dresses in red, teal, and orange.

These lovely royals look terrific in all bright colors. They need to be always visible to their audience.

I do own a Susan Graver leopard print rain coat with red lining!!!

The only other really bright things I own are my summer sundresses, which I love.

They are so bright and pretty, perfect for warmer destination vacations, unfortunately I haven't been wearing them this summer........maybe I will put one one this weekend just for the heck of it

Lovely colors, gorgeous fabrics, and styles that work for the very public, royal lives they lead. Fun to see, nothing I want to own.

I did own full-length red coats long ago - one for winter, one for rain; same in green. But I can't remember the last time I wore a full-length coat of any color, not for warmth, for rain, nor for style.

The colors don't bother me although, personally, I shy away from head to toe bright colors such as these. I've never been a fan of Kate's style so that's what bugs me the most.

I love the brights -- puts a smile on my face. Not too keen on the sort of brownish red between the blue and purple. I definitely miss the chronicle of their outings!

My favorites for the Queen are green, blue and purple. For Kate, the yellow looks great on her.

I remarked once that they must be her comfy shoes as they seem to be the only ones she wears

It has been written many times that the Queen purposely wears bright colors so she can be spotted easily in a crowd and people can go home saying that they saw the Queen.

@Pearlee That’s what always been believed - especially at large functions e,g, Trooping of Colour since she does not ride anymore she is always dressed very brightly she is very tiny too and the bright colours do help.

I don't have a need to wear a dress anymore, but I love a bright colored jacket or coat just like my mama did. I remember buying her a bright multi-colored bomber-type spring jacket for her 70th birthday and she loved it! Give me a cherry red jacket and I'm a happy camper!

Thanks so much for posting. It was a really fun read!

Most interesting is someone breaks them in for her with socks on and that she is a Size 4. That's very small.

I had a pair that were very similar in the 60s. Cannot remember the name of the company off hand, but they are still around.

However, I'm sure they were a lot cheaper than the Queen's shoes!
