This commercial for Mercari cracks me up, about meeting up to sell a waffle iron.

I was surprised to see "my" scarf on there, from Nordstrom Rack.

she wearing a bath robe I had at the time, same exact one.

In the trailer for the movie...it is in the scene right after it starts where the bad guy breaks into the house and is chasing her...a pink floral robe

Yes, an Ellen Tracy status print blouse that was probably "inspired" by Versace ... back in the 90s and early 2000s, it was worn by countless "rich" women on tv.

I loved that blouse ... still have it. Louis Dell O'lio is coming out with one that is similar ... his is a tunic without a collar ... much too long for me. I'll stick with my "original."

Yes! A couple of tops I own from Free People have been worn by one of the younger actresses on General Hospital. I felt a little embarrassed, since she is probably in her early twenties and I am almost fifty. lol But I like them, they are not too "young looking" and they look good on me, so....

Years ago there was a NYC based department store, Ohrbach's. Many soap operas were filmed in the city and wardrobe was provided by Ohrbach's. I had a number of dresses and suits that I'd seen on air.

Lis Claiborne did fashions on some of the soaps too. I remember seeing a yellow skirt and sweater I owned on Ashley Abbot on The Young and the Restless.

Back in high school I bought 2 jumpers that had hang tags stating, "As worn by Patty Duke" (on her show) I had a Beach Party bathing suit Gidget (Sally Fields) wore on air.

Yes. Years ago on 'Everybody Loves Raymond' - Robert's wife had on an embroidered sweater than was the exact same sweater I purchased from Anthropologie.

There have probably been others, I just can't recall at the moment. But having worked in retail at a fancy department store, I would always recognize a lot of our merchandise that we sold on TV. Currently, from shopping so much online, I notice a lot of the clothing I look at and like (but can't really afford), is being worn by some of the people I see on TV.

Does that mean we have good taste?

Yes ... years ago when I was single and did my shopping at Nordstroms, I saw several dresses I owned worn by actresses on Young and the Restless and another soap, which I'm not remembering. Makes sense tho as Nordstroms used to be *the* place to shop for nice quality, but affordable, clothing if you're on the W Coast.

These days I'm more likely to see someone on a commercial for food shopping or from a garden center, wearing one of my "outfits". But as I watch almost no tv, I'm not going to see my twin.

Yes, a coach bag many years ago. Also on the cover of People Magazine when Angelina Jolie gave birth to Shilo she posed with the baby in the exact same Eileen West white nightgown that I owned. That was 13 yrs ago and I still wear it.
