I'm heading to Peru in May and need to buy some cute and practical clothes. It seems I'll need to pack for a variety of weather, given the cold nights in the Andes and hot sun during the day. Most importantly, I need a good, strong windbreaker that I could use in rain. Help?

For shoes, I would recommend Keen or Jambu. You can check 6pm.com for some deals on Keen (if you don't have any shoes like them now). You might also search REI for some travel clothes that would do double duty. Layers are your friend!

I echo lola recommendations for Keen or Jambu shoes. You might also want to consider convertible pants (long pants to shorts). They are usually waterproof and offer sun protection.
