Oh! No! Not Crop Pants....Not Again!

I hate crop pants. My mother and grandma used to call pants that looked like that were called "waders".

Something like that. I tried looking it up and got the weirdest answers.

They just look like the wearer couldn't make up their mind what they wanted to wear....long or short pants.

Although, I'm finding I can order some crop pants and they fit like ankle pants.

Due to back issues I've actually shrunk 1 hole inch. Now I'm 5'3" so I can buy regular size and they fit like regular ankl pants.

Yea! There's an upside to everything.....

I love my crops!! I would never wear shorts or peddle pushers at this point, so crops are my best option in summer, keep them coming!! I am also 5'3 on a good day!!

Where I live they are a blessing because it is so hot here. I love them, and wear them all the time--as do almost everybody else in the summer. Let me edit that to say capris (shorter ones) are probably seen more than real crops.

I have some crops I wear to look a little more put together. I wear them with ballet flats.

Except the. younger crowd who wear shorts--very.

@Annabellethecat66 LOL. That's how we start the Spring fashion season, with cropped pants. Then as the weather warms we'll progress to capris, then peddle pushers. Eventually we'll get to Bermudas and shorts. I agree, crops are most unflattering and if they're wide, they're awful.

I'm 5'7", love crops, wear them everyday for 3 seasons & just hate putting them away for winter...I dress for me so if they go out of style I'll still be wearing them. Enjoy your crop, now ankle pants @Annabellethecat66.

@Catiele I agree. I can't wear them because they "cut my leg" and cause a break in the line I'm trying to create. Now, cropped or capris in ladies' pants are perfect on me...hit just below the ankle and no tailoring needed. I scoop them up immediately instead of full length jeans or pants.

Yea! There's an upside to everything.....

I used to wear them but feel like they're old lady looking & I'm 5'7 and old. The IM 24/7 crops look a little better which look more fitted. They used to call them flood pants or high water pants. I usually buy mens long shorts that hit the knee to mow the yard but in the summer just ankle pants if I go out.

Well I'm not wearing shorts...that's for sure. Crops are about the next best thing for me anyway.

I hate them too, for me. I look better in long shorts, or just long pants. It's just an awkward length.

I like longer crop pants...........Not the ones that hit in the middle of my leg/calf.

I have several pairs of the latter, and they just don't look right on me.

So, I wear my longer crop options.

@Catiele. I am short and I wear them proudly. Not wearing them isn't going to make me any taller, just more uncomfortable.

I’m not a crop pant person either. Every time I try them on I just don't like the way they look on me.

Last year I noticed that I wasn’t loving the way I looked in Bermuda shorts anymore. Not sure if it’s my age or just my perception. If I don’t wear shorts then I guess I either get used to crops, capris, etc., or wear full length pants all summer.

I do not have long legs, so crop pants fit me like ankle pants. I stick w/ the crop pants that have a narrow leg opening, like the ones from Talbots.

My dear hubby, who rarely voices an opinion about what I wear that he doesn't like ... will say when I wear pants that hit mid calf to just above the ankle, that I should have paid more for the pants so it came w/ enough material to reach my ankles. When I tell him these are fashionable pants, he smiles and says so our tube tops and daisy dukes ... why don't I wear those? LOL.

I wear crop pants,, Capris, clam diggers, ankle length and shorts. I like them all and I like having a choice.

I am short 5'1". There is no pant made that makes me look tall and thin, so I dress to be comfortable.

OH YES!!!! I LOVE crops, ankle pants, peddle pushers & capris! I live in them all summer!...what else would I wear? Long pants are too hot, I can't wear shorts in public and I hate dresses & skirts.

If you don't like them then don't wear them but why would you not want them to be available for others who do like them? I happen to hate dresses but I'm not going to tell others who do enjoy them not to wear them!

I love my crop pants. I like to show off my pedicures and my cute summer sandals. Also cross are cooler in the summer.
