I think you REALLY have to check the exact garment measurements using the "click here" feature on the item page. I don't know anyone built exactly like me, and that's just asking for trouble to buy based on how you perceive someone else looks. You need to honestly measure yourself and go from there.

Thanks. If you look at Jacqui's specs on her Reinhard page, I would be exactly her size, but who knows if that is what she is now.

I asked Louis on is website which size Maria was wearing on a particular top. He said he brought a large and an xl for her but he wasn't sure which one the stylist put on her. So I'm pretty sure from paying attention to the times the hosts ask her what she's wearing and how items looked on her recently and how they fit me when I got them home, that she's in between sizes now. For the same reasons, Jacqui seems to be still wearing a l all the time on the Q. Back to Maria, she seems to have to gained her weight on the top because just a couple of days ago, she said she was wearing a 14 in pants.

WOW According to those specs (which are almost same as mine and I wear a M) Jacqui would be a perfect medium on QVC. The specs even say she's a 12 also a medium on QVC. I think that might be old specs because she always says she's wearing a QVC large and/or a 14.

Size 10 being considered plus size by modeling agencies and high fashion designers is nothing new. It's always been this way. There was a time when the high end/couture "designers" refused to make clothing above size 10. Of course they learned that size 14 money is as green as size 4, so many have come off of that restriction and now make their clothing in larger sizes. That said in the modeling business size 10/12 is still what agents are asked to send when a plus is requested for a job. A size 14 model has very limited working opportunities for clothing, so places like QVC and HSN who request that size for their plus models have been a blessing of regular work to the ones they employ.

When hosts ask particular sizes of models, I find it very helpful. It helps you to see if maybe something is running small or large. I also like it when they tell if something is fitted or relaxed. With all the confusion of sizes, I think it helps tremendously. I particularly like when Meredith (petite model) is on as I can always go by how something is fitting her and size, length and fit. Of course I have no relation with all the tall, thin models, except for length.
