Everyone excited about and ready to shop for maternity clothing? They loaded a bunch of NYDJ maternity jeans into the system today, along with some Laurie Felt tops. I thought all you needed these days were some really tight long tee shirts in a size too small. I guess a bunch of us will sit this show out.

I, too, thought it was common knowledge that, for maternity clothes these days, one purchases knits a size smaller than one would wear prior to becoming pregnant and then sees how far they can stretch it before the seams split...

Does anyone wear maternity clothes anymore? Other than professional women at work, I can't remember the last time I saw a pregnant woman in a maternity smock. More's the pity, too!

Sadly, I can’t even recall the last time I saw a professional woman wearing maternity clothes when they were obviously needed. Always a size smaller than needed prior to becoming pregnant.

More proof QVC is targeting millennials. Lots of toys and some baby and kids clothing. Jeans, jeans, and more jeans. Mid-thigh dresses.

It will be interesting to see how they do. I would think the audience would be rather limited.

I must say, Jenna Bush Hager always looks nice and professional in her maternity wear on the Today show.

A lot of clothing on the market now can be used for maternity clothing. Logo, for example.

It goes beyond street clothes. This summer, most of the pregnant women at our pool are wearing 2-piece bathing suits well into their second trimester. In terms of QVC’s marketing strategy, I don’t see this as a winner. Most shoppers in this age group see online shopping as the norm and use vendors whose prices and shipping costs are more competitive than QVC’s.

Well they won't know unless they try presenting them. And for all those who don't like the stretchy tight look for pregnant women - well my SO's daughter said having stretchy tighter pants and also a stretchy tighter top is way more comfortable and she said her doctor told her that it supports the baby better causing the muscles to not get as lax so a return to a flatter stomach is possible sooner.

A woman would have to order it before she got pregnant cause the kid will be born by the time it's shipped.

QVC has loaded a lot more maternity items online now. Quite a few things from brands called Blooming, and Stowaway. Nice items!
