Wonderful Robe!!!

I needed a warm robe that zipped up the front because of the pup! He pulls strings, all kinds of strings. If it dangles, it's his! I can't use my other robes yet!

I was SO happy to find something that I liked! Front zipper that parts so I don't have to "step in", soft and snuggly cozy, and a pretty color!

Turquoise (offered in pink), sculpted fleece with side pockets and a tassel zip. No pin tucking, or anything dated, just stitched back cuffs. Sorry, they don't show it on dot com at Belk where I bumped into it.

Feels yummy if you bump into it.

What's your fav robe?

I have two Stan Herman velour robes that zip up which I love. Wear one or the other (pink and red) every single morning.

My latest robe is Carole Hochman A294075. I got it in the mint green which is a soft light sage. It's wonderful. Wanted to get a taupe one as well so hoping it will come back.

I have a French terry zip up long robe that I LOVE for after showers. I use it every day. I think it would be nice enough to use for warmth too, but I generally wear Cuddl Duds here in Michigan to stay warm in Michigan.

Mine is a cheap long fleece robe that I found at Blair. I've actually reordered it once and, if they still have it, will probably order it again in a year or so. I prefer one with snaps rather than a belt or zipper. I like one in the cooler/colder weather for when I get out of the shower and am getting ready for work. I can dry off, throw it on and snap a few snaps around the middle and don't have to mess with it until it's time to get dressed. This one is light weight bu heavy enough to keep me warm. Back years ago when I was looking for one that snapped, they were sooooo hard to find.

Joan Rivers hooded velour lounger is my favorite, I have several of them that I bought on QVC & eBay...I thought Q might restock them before before the Holidays but it's no longer available.

I have one Eileen West cotton with lace and a big bottom ruffle, button-up front (more of a dressing gown); one cotton Ralph Lauren blue/white striped; two white waffle piques, LRL (all for warmer weather); three white turkish towel robes (Belmond Charleston, Biltmore Inn, one a Hammacher-Schlemmer) and a turkish towel wrap. I love that hotels sell robes because the ones I leave at home are threadbare. I love turkish towel robes and wear them until they are falling apart, so travel gives me a good opportunity to buy one that I can wear ni public.

It's really not that I forget the robes. It is that I am embarrassed to carry a ragged-out robe with me and that is when they are the very best. It's like shoes. I don't like them until they are so worn out, nobody would wear them in public.

I am not sure any of the turkish towel robes were purchased in the last decade.

This robe by Adrienne Landau sold by HSN years ago. I wish she would bring it out again this Christmas season. It feels so soft and luxurious looking.

The warmest winter robe I have ever worn came from L.L. Bean. I've worn out a few in my lifetime and I keep going back for more. There's just no comparison when it comes to the warmth they provide and I need that in my cold house this time of the year.

I think I have that robe in navy. I do like it but it's not the robe I put on first thing in the morning when I'm cold because the silky feel of the inside of the robe does not warm me up. However, it's a great looking robe for hanging out in before I get dressed.

I bought this on clearance recently and it's great for the weekends when I don't want to get dressed out of bed! Keep in mind I live in Miami so this works out well all year long

My favorite robe for cold weather is from PJ Salvage and when it gets really cold I put on my down robe from The Company Store. Nothing warmer than down.

My favorite is a leopard print Joan Boyce robe from 5 or 6 years ago, with matching slippers. I regret not getting another at the time, because the quality is impeccable. It launders well and looks almost as good as it did when it was new. I will miss Joan.

I only like snap front robes and they aren't the easiest to find. I have on from Blair and another from a now defunct company which is almost worn out. I think snap front ones are just so easy -- no buttons to lose, no zippers to break!

Blair is great for around the house fleece. Myfavorite robe is the popover lounger with the kangaroo pockets. I also have the zip up bathrobe and the snap bathrobe. the price is great and they wash and wear on and on.

I also have a couple of their fleece jackets which are really very light and great for around my cold house in New England. also they are long on me -they do carry petites.

Just look for sales and free shipping.

the drop needle robes are great for summer/warm climates

I seem to do a lot of thinking about robes. Probably because I can't wear the tie around the waist style (makes me look like a rolled up sleeping bag) and I want a high real fabric content because the polyester fabrics carry static electricity which I don't need in the winter, and because they are not warm. The ones that fasten up the front almost always look like nursing home styles. (and I am not young) I think back to the 1930's and 40's when design was so flattering. I wonder why robes cannot be good looking, flattering, stylish and warm. Why is that so hard?

I like the winter robes at Kohl's. This is the Good for Life French Terry Short Robe. It comes in 12 colors. There's also a long version. These make good Christmas gifts. They're thick and soft. The short one is on sale right now for $17.

I'm in the market for a new robe. I'd like something soft, cozy, and warm going into winter. I've looked at the malls, but passed on everything because they didn't pass the touch test--not soft enough or cozy enough. I'm sure it's out there somewhere.
