Need your advice on what color shoes to wear

Okay.........FINALLY decided on what to wear to my 40th high school reunion. The dress is casual and/or dressy casual. So I'm going to wear black slacks with this shirt:

So.........should I wear black shoes or try to find a pair of shoes that matches and/or compliments the color of the shirt (I got the solid color shirt). And I don't wear heels, so it will have to be ballet flats or sandals. I can wear a SMALL heel IF it's comfortable enough to stand up on all night, but prefer flats since I've never worn high heels in my life and I'm 58. Yes....I think they look nice, but no my feet just can't take them. For me, comfort has ALWAYS been more important.
