I love JR blouses, but why are some listed 10, 12, 14, 16, etc., and not M ,L, XL, etc.?

Numbered sizes fit better

I think...........you, the customer, gets a better fit with numerical sizing. S M L give you a little of M and a little of Large. - and Small give you a little of small & medium. Cheaper to make probably. Classy stores always did numerical back in the day.

Depends on the style of the garment.

Things that are more fitted by design are better when cut to numerical size.

Numerical sizing allows for a more precise fit. If you'll study size charts, you'll notice less difference between sizes.

If the shirts are woven fabrics ... you really can't cut the fabric to fit two sizes (i.e. 14-16).

@countrylady I have found that the number sizes in the Joan Rivers line are pretty accurate. I have been consistent with the sizes on every order. The only exception was a pair of knit pants that ran large but other than that the line is true to size for me!

I wish more QVC designers would use numbered sizing. You get a much better fit, especially with pants.

I don't care for the pockets to be sewn through the front of the top. It's like two bull's eyes over the hips!
