Clothing Prices Are Crazy High

Does anyone else think that QVC clothing prices are thru the roof? You can rarely find a Susan Graver top for under $60---Fall items are going for upwards of $70 now. Denim & Co USED to be fairly reasonable and now most of their new Fall tops are near $50. Not to mention Logo - insanely high prices! Guess I will be like my sister now and start shopping in the "as is" section...

I totally agree, especially with Denim and Co. They had a t-shirt that was almost $50 a few months ago and is now down to about $22 on sale. I always check the "As Is" section and have had very good luck with as is items. I have also noticed that the Lunchtime Special prices are higher than they used to be. I have gotten some real bargains on Lunchtime Specials in the past, but not lately. Fortunately I don't really need anything, so I can wait till I think the price is reasonable before purchasing.

Department store cloathing is much higher. And you have to go there to try them on. So on the whole, QVC is not that bad. Try as is, or move over to Old Navy.

I agree. I havent' been buying much of anything. This weekend is our state's sales tax holiday so I'm taking a road trip to the outlet mall to see what the Talbot's Clearance Center has. I'm hoping for good prices and a good selection.

I agree the prices do seem high. There was a new Denim & Co. top that came out about a month ago where the regular QVC price (it did not say sale price or introductory price) was about $43 and then a couple weeks later the price jumped to a regular QVC price of around $58.

There are many EBay vendors who purchase and sell pallets of QVC clothing. The prices are usually 50 percent or more off the prices here.

I would only buy clothing at TJ Maxx or Marshall's. Much better selection, quality and prices.

While department store prices may be the same or higher, sales and coupons bring the price MUCH lower. I bought 3 higher end tops at Macy's for $38...total. Sale prices on all 3 pieces.

I still buy from QVC, but much less than I used to.

I agree....these days any SG top is usually around $60.00

...add tax, shipping...........the average final cost is about $70...............getting too high for me.............

and D&C has gotten to the $40 range....so $50 by the time you are done.......................

I do find comparable quality and lovely tops at Macys.com......so that is the direction i have been heading toward the past 2 years for most of my clothing

@linky1953 I think the high prices are totally ridiculous. This is a shopping network and they need to keep prices down. I stopped buying most of D&Co. because this was suppose to be a Q brand and they are treating it like designer clothing. I don't think so. I refuse to pay $70 and $80 for a top because I can do that locally if I so desire. I always looked at the Q for reasonable prices and now it is a total joke.

I shop local boutiques. The QVC prices mentioned don't seem high to me at all. That's what I pay all the time.

My problem is, when I go to the mall - I don't see anything I really like. I am spoiled by QVC that way--also I like the way QVC brands fit better than stuff at Macy's, Kohls, etc...

I hear you---sooo true. I am retired now and on a fixed income. When I was working--I didn't even look at the prices....at least some of QVC's sale prices have gotten a bit better over the last few years.

Based upon what I saw on ABC news tonight, everything made in China will be even more expensive...including clothes. The tariff war has just been escalated..again.

Clothing prices are higher on the Q. But since I’m retired, I don’t need to buy many pieces. But when I do, I find better deals at other retailers.

@deeva Awesome prices can be found on QVC...

I shared about a lot of fabulous deals I got recently (thread link below) from QVC. I mentioned about some of them in my OP, AND on the 2nd page of the thread I updated 3 times on prices of several garments I bought at bargain basement prices.
