Looks Great on All Body Types: Well, no, it doesn't!

It's ridiculous when hosts and vendors say a clothing item looks good on all body types. I checked out a video presentation for today's TSV and one of the models looked absolutely horrible in it. I almost felt sorry that she was made to wear it. We all know we look good in some things and not so good in other things. The cut, length, color, print, etc. really determines what we can and should wear and what we need to stay away from. Hosts have to sell, but consumers aren't stupid.

I agree. Nothing truly looks good on every body type. It's a stupid statement to make, really.

Just looked at the TSV. All I can say is Ugly. It looks sloppy horrible on the rack in the video showing it. The one looks like the pocket is sewed on crooked. Wonder which lucky customer will receive it? It's rayon/spandex. No Thanks.

@Nightowlz Totally agree. When I saw the first model walk out I thought it looked awful. It wasn't the model. It's the shirt. It looks just okay on Lisa. Personally, I thought it looked cheap.

I saw the TSV on the red-haired model and she looked terrible in it, I never thought she could look terrible in anything but those clothes were horrible. Guess I'm not a Cali-styling gal.

It goes without saying that not every style of clothing looks good on every body type. If you think it does, all you have to do is look at some of the models. Baggy, voluminous styled clothing or form fitting clothing does not compliment most anybody.

Regarding the fit/look issue with this style top - I think it looks terrible if you have narrow or sloping shoulders.

Looks perfectly okay Lisa and on the models with the broader shoulders.

I have wide shoulders - I don't mind ironng - I like her styles - I bought two of her TSV tops.

Never have or will I ever buy from Lisa Rina.......I watch her on Housewives and she has the most "Potty Mouth" She acts like she can say anything and do anything..smile and walk on. Her clothes look like something from Wal-Mart. QVC Please...get someone who doesn't curse out her castmates, uses vulger horrible language worse than a Sailor,drinks in every showing etc...QVC allows this type of person on air? Who wants to buy from a peroson like that?....I know this will be deleted ...but at least one person will read it, the person deleting it....

I don't see the problem here. It's a basic blouse that could be easily styled to flatter the majority of body types.

I have turned to QVC a few times today and caught a couple of the TSV presentations......

I have a couple LR tops i love....but this just seems off

...........the 1 pocket kinda hap hazardly placed on the breast area..........darts which weren't lining up with ANYONES bosoms....Rebecca and Carolyn's darts were

above their breasts totally........ and the odd shaped neck opening.............and i think besides saying "it looks great on every body" as Kirsten just announced...............they keep showing Sam the petite model with the shirt pulled up and tied.............it was funny when Carolyn was presenting the top she made Sam untie it to show Petites

how it would look and it was ssoooo long in the back....i LOVED that Carolyn did that as i am a petite person myself.............but then when i turned back about an hr

later the TSV was being presented again and they pulled

the petite model Sam's shirt up again.....a bit deceiving.

I have to say i think when Gary and Carolyn are presenting D&C they make that claim on just about EVERY item presented....it gets to me too.

It doesn't bother me, it's just a sales pitch.

They use the same exact phrase whenever they present a peplum top. A peplum anything looks absolutely horrible on me! So I just laugh and know while I'm saving my money, QVC will be getting lots of returns coming back to them.

I doubt it would be "This would work only for [insert size, height, coloring, etc.].

To be fair the supposed 'peplum' on the Q isn't a classic peplum but a flounce. Most of the time, especially Louis, the designer will say 'this is not really a peplum' when the host recites the description...

Think Kate Middleton. I've seen her do classic peplum a few times. It should have structure and not just lay on your hips adding bulk!

Yes. one person did read it. I don't watch housewives, or whatever show your talking about, but I do buy her clothing, and I like them. Some of my nicest pants are hers, and I've bought all her tops nearly for winter,and live in them. Sorry you are associating her with a tv show. Lots of people have potty mouths today. That shouldn't affect your buying. I would quit watching a show that affended me.
