Bird Mama, we had a nice Independence Day. Saw some good fireworks at a nearby church.

I think I hit a wall (LTT's phrase) on the shopping front after my J Crew spree of all things leopard ...

The fish that I ordered on June 28 was showing delivery on Monday, but now UPS says it's on the truck for delivery today, which means that I have to wait at home all day now.

My excitement this week involved a storm that blew in from outta nowhere on Tuesday. Took out the power for nearly 24 hours. Snatched the yellow birdhouse from under the soffit on the garage and slammed it on the patio, entrance side up. I fought the wind and rain and got the birdhouse inside my house. That's when the remaining fledgling sparrow jumped out and ran across the family room floor, lol.

We met, I put him back in the birdhouse, waited for the storm to pass and then rehung the birdhouse.

Lost everything but the gingerale in the fridge.

I survived, power was restored and I had a nice 4th of July with my sister. Good company, good food and since we saw John Wicke Chapter 3 at the show last month, I picked up John Wicke Chapters 1 and 2 (discount DVDs) and we caught on up the mythology.

It was too freakin hot to be outside. Yesterday was really rough temperature wise too.
