It's on at 11:00 tonight in the Dallas market (Central Time). (Normally, I'd expect it to start at 10:30 Central time.)

I think the Olympics is shifting the times of some shows tonight, but I'm not sure. I guess people should check their TV schedule.

I watched Fallon's show last night. Only the beginning 'tho (it didn't start til midnight here). He was at his desk and remarked that a certain 'friend' lost a bet about how he wouldn't make it to the 'Tonight Show' as host and was owed 100 dollars. Then one by one all kinds of celebrities walked out. The actor who played Frazier's dad, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Seth Rogen, a couple of sports celebs, New York governor, so many more! And Joan Rivers! I can't believe all those people were available to do that. They would just walk in, hand him cash then walk off- the place went nuts.

Johnny Carson was an early fan of Joan Rivers and had her as a frequent guest on the Tonight Show. She even occasionally substituted for him when he went on vacation, which at the time was a big deal for a woman. But after she got her own short-lived show on Fox, Carson banned her from again appearing on the Tonight Show. Jay Leno honored the snub all the years he hosted. On his first show, Jimmy Fallon decided to break the tradition.

At one time she was supposed to take the shoe after JC. Can't remember details but Leno got it. I would guess that May have been her reason.

What Joan did which annoyed Carson no end was that she took the host job at Fox TV for a late night slot directly in competition with Carson and she didn't tell him of her plans.

Carson was a control freak so this is why he disliked what Joan had done and this started the snub.

Oh come on! Do you honestly think that Jay Leno personally called everyone to be on his show? It's entirely possible that some head of production "carried on the snub". Leno always had comedians on, and I doubt HE was the one to do that. It doesn't make sense.
