Duchess Kate & Queen Elizabeth Joint Appearance

Duchess Kate and Queen Elizabeth stepped out in unison on Tuesday to officially open Bush House at King's College in London. The last time that Kate and the Queen made a joint visit together, without any other members of the royal family in attendance, was way back in 2012.

The royal visit will include "robotics demos" and meeting with "students on the virtual trading floor," per royal commentator Omid Scobie.

While Her Majesty opted for a pretty shade of dusky pink, the Duchess of Cambridge selected a sophisticated grey coat by Catherine Walker, with black tights, black Gianvito Rossi heels, and a matching black fascinator hat.

Looking at the close up of Queen Elizabeth, I can not believe that she is 92 years old. She looks amazing.

On the visit, they will view a robotics demonstration, including robotic surgery, and a demonstration showing how sensors made from textiles can measure useful information about the body.

The royal pair will also visit a virtual trading floor and meet students from the Entrepreneurship Institute, which supports entrepreneurial thinking, skills and experiences amongst King's students, staff and alumni.

Love looking at pictures of the Royals. Kate always looks fantastic, as does the Queen. That pink is wonderful & happy. I wonder how that grey coat opens. At first I thought it might be a dress. Any ideas?

@luvzchiz The description of Kate's outfit says 'coat dress' but I think it's really just a dress made to resemble a coat. It looks like there's a zipper in the back.

I assumed Kate was wearing a coat. There are no buttons in the front, just the zipper in the back.

Both the Queen and the future Queen look lovely. That pink is such a breath of spring and so flattering. The gray (with black accessories) is so chic. The Duchess has the legs I've fantasized having.

Both ladies perform their jobs with style and grace.
