Morning all chilly in suburban NYC, lots going, one more test to prove I do not have Lymphoma. I have not posted about it since there is nothing yet to post. All of a sudden the Wed before Thanksgiving I get a call from the doc that is handling my infusions and she say I want you to see a Hematologist before you have your infusion. So last Wed I saw him, more blood work and a bone marrow test which hurt like heck. Later that day I had a 6 month check up with my Cardiologist (planned months is advance) B was with me but he stepped out, the room was hot and all of a sudden I did not feel well. My BP dropped and I had a vasovagel reaction, I was so glad it happened where it did.

I am still waiting to see the Hematologist he was on vacation last week, but I do get my first 1/4 dose infusion on Tuesday at 8 am.

Good morning everyone! I had an interesting very early Friday morning. I put my Christmas tree up Thanksgiving night.I noticed while decorating it that is wasn't very stable but decided to continue on and finish decorating the tree. The tree is at least 25 years old and needs to be replaced. I got to enjoy the tree for 2 weeks. My very tubby kitty Mosey must have bumped against it early Friday morning and it came crashing down. The cat is fine. I picked up the tree and it no longer will stand on it's own. So at 3 am, I am holding up the tree with one hand and undecorating with the other. What a mess!! Three hours later I rest until it's daylight and haul the tree to the dumpster. This sets my back on fire so I rest most of the day with the heating pad. We got freezing rain and snow last night so I staying in this weekend. Netflix and Hulu will keep me company. I hope everyone has an enjoyable week. Maybe next week, we can have a live chat on fashions.

@texassunflower Oh boy, I'm sorry that your tree gave out. The longest I've ever had an artificial tree was 14 years. Considering I bought the tree from Kmart for like $19, I'd say it gave it's all and then some. It was one of those unlit trees that was assembled branch by branch. I probably could have kept the tree longer however it was getting difficult to get some of the branches to stay in the little holes in the post.

@Bird mama our tree is on its 18th Christmas and is looking a little tired but we're loathe to get rid of it because of its sentimental value. DH and I bought it at Home Depot for $20 and it's been our first and only Christmas tree. It's the kind that comes apart in three sections and each section is like an umbrella in that the branches fall open. We put four strings of lights on it, which is a bit of a pain. I'd really like to get a pre lit tree. Maybe after Christmas when they go on sale.

@Bird mama We must have purchased the same tree. My tree branches were hinged and I remember putting them in branch by branch. I think I paid $30 for mine. I am frugal by nature and tend to keep things forever. Trees are so expensive and I am capable of stringing lights so I want one that is unlit. I have a bad back so I will probably go with a smaller tree. I will have to adjust to the smaller size and rotate Christmas ornaments year to year. After Christmas, trees go to 50% off so I will purchase a new one then.

Our tree has been up since last Sunday; however, the decorations are still in boxes on the floor. We don't enjoy the decorating process, does anyone?

This morning, I couldn't recall the name of red pears, so I asked Alexia, "what are red pears called?", she said red pear. I tried again, "what's the name of pears that are red?" She said to ask her later.
