TSV LEGGINGS: ANKLE BOOTS OR FLATS

I’m looking at the velvet spanx and wondering what happens to the ankle shape when wearing an ankle boot.... Cankles? Wear flats? Maybe knee boots?

What do you think?

@Shanus With 3 hairy dogs in the house, I don't allow myself to even consider buying these pants, let alone worry about what shoes to wear. Velvet + dogs = disaster.

Never around the house. I have a cat. But if I did, I would be either barefoot or wearing slippers around the house.

I live in the ne. This is my outdoor leggings look...

I have high top suede/leather sneakers & leather combat boots.

@ALRATIBA Have yet to wear them either mostly because of muscular legs, little ankles. I was just wondering about covering ankles and rest of legs looks heavy......Looking at models, the ones with ankles showing look better, but cold 🥶!!!

If you don't want to look like your leggings shrunk, wearing high waters, put the spanx in the dryer on high, please wear socks with your spanx leggings.

TSV inseams are too short for me. Not into "highwaters."

I find that flats with the bare ankle showing doesn't do justice for pants and the legs look stumpy unless over 5'9". The right boots (especially with a slight heel) do not make the legs/ankles look larger at all but seem to elongate the leg for a sleeker look!

I can wear leggings, but they're not my favorite. I'd rather have on jeans instead of leggings. I do love combat boots. The butchier, the better. I have 2 pairs of Doc Martins. I wear them to work along with jeans and or sneakers. That's it. I wear either flats or low heels in case we have meetings. But I do love my Doctor Martins! And no one can take them away from me.

I'd wear these velvet leggings with a pretty flat or knee high boots.

I like a sock top over an ankle boot with skinny jeans but think that would look kind of "Flashdance" with the leggings.

Not that there is anything wrong with Flashdance.

@Shanus Ozone socks ,has a very sheer sock, that might work for you. They are as sheer as hose ,and they have a pattern in them

I have a couple pr ,I wear for dress ,under slacks. They are pretty ,and a bit more dressy than just a sock ,and not as confining as hose

High-waters and/or floods are ALL pants that are above the ankles. Some cases, mid ankle. Depends on the material (corduroy comes to mind).

Unless there is some written in stone fashion thing, I would disagree that leggings above the ankle are high-waters.

I didn't know that material can determine what a high water is. I just always thought it was any pant that had any material that flaps around the ankle.

I'm glad that capris escaped the dreaded moniker, though.

P.S. edited to add - O.K. I see that a textbook defintion is any pant that exposes the ankle. So that could include capris, by definition.

But I still see highwater as a derogatory term.
